"This is not just another packet trick. It’s a visual mindblower based on some real out of the box thinking. Giant holes appear in four playing cards one by one. The holes are clearly real. Then comes the mind-blowing ending – the holes are just black stickers on the backs of the cards! Christophe has come up with a real winner here. And, as you learn to perform the trick, you’ll learn a new four card count that can be applied to other tricks. Get this one before they sell out." - Mike Powers

"An beautifully absurd premise meets a delightfully practical method... What's not to love?!" - Kyle Purnell

"This trick is so fun to perform. It’s super practical and easy to do. The visuals are great and the kicker ending is a massive surprise. I’m definitely going to be performing ‘Nothing’ to my audiences from now on. It’s brilliant." - Craig Petty

Get ready to make nothing appear. Magicians have been making stuff appear for centuries, but finally, you have the power to make nothing appear. This charming packet trick gets big reactions. Four playing cards have giant holes appear in them, and then those four holes transform into stickers. This is the Incredible Appearing Nothing by Christophe Fouquet.

Here’s what happens:

The magician introduces four red-backed playing cards. After showing them to be apparently ordinary cards, the magician introduces the concept of making nothing appear. The cards are counted again and suddenly one of them has a giant hole in the middle of it. The hole is nearly the entire width of the card, and there’s no way it could have been hidden. The hole is also proven to be real, and multiple surfaces can be seen through it. The card is fairly dealt to the table. The remaining three cards are counted and a second hole appears. This one is also real! A third and fourth hole appear in the respective cards, all of which are placed openly on the table. The cards are then stacked up and the magician comments about how conceptually, making nothing appear is very difficult. What’s much easier is to make something appear that looks like nothing. With a magical gesture, the hole in the middle of the cards transforms into a giant black sticker. All four cards are counted and all four holes are shown to be stickers. The cards are shown front and back and no hole can be found.

This packet trick gets phenomenal reactions. You receive four specially gimmicked cards that make The Incredible Appearing Nothing Possible. In addition to the basic handling that uses a close-up mat, you’ll also learn a bonus handling using an ordinary phone case that allows you to perform this trick anywhere at any time. The sleights are simple, and well within the grasp of magicians at any skill level. Prepare to do the impossible, by making nothing appear with a trick that really is something with The Incredible Appearing Nothing by Christophe Fouquet.

Christophe and Erik have combined talents to create a great routine. Four large holes appear in four solid cards. They are real holes, but then they all morph into 4 black stickers on solid cards! Brings a whole new meaning to the concept of a black hole!
Only four cards are used, no gaffs or moving parts to lose or wear out. Erik puts the final bow on the prize with his serendipidous idea of using his phone to make the routine ready to play almost anywhere.
This is the greatest topological card routine since Card Warp!

Great Thinking Report this review

Christophe Fouquet is a personal friend of mine, so I may be biased. However, I have been studying magic for over 40 years now, and I can tell you this is a brilliant concept from a clever guy.

Sparks a great reaction with little skill! Report this review

I performed this for my kids and they got so mad they locked themselves in their room!
As an absolute novice, I can tell you this is
VERY easy to perform. Ultra portable.
The "sticker" ending is a nice touch that seals the deal and gives audiences something to inspect.

good trick but not good teaching Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on January 17th, 2023
This is a nice little packet trick, easily integrated into a larger routine. The required skill level is about right for me, generally experienced with magic but only recently getting serious about learning real sleight of hand. However, the explanation section is way too insensitive to the human factors of learning the moves - there are two camera angles, neither of which is the magician's view. As cards move between left and right hands and top to bottom of the packet, the learner has to mentally reverse left and right and rotate top to bottom. It is torturous. Also, the explanation mixes focus on the moves with broader comments about patter and context, with gratuitous hand gestures, that make following the real moves in slow motion almost impossible. Even though it's not too complicated and doesn't use difficult hand moves, it takes about 10 times as much time to learn as it should, due to the problems in the explanation.

Original and fun Report this review

This is really original. A lot of card magic is more of the same but this is really a new fresh idea (for me, anyway). This is already going with me everywhere.

As mentioned before, this is easier than it seems. There is only one real slight but there is no heat on that (at least for the first round of it). Erik's teaching is great as always. You will have fun doing this!

Easy, Fun, and Visual Report this review

I was expecting this to be much more difficult than it was. Instead, it’s fairly simple and straight forward to perform. It’s just a really well put together routine. It’s a lot of fun to do and it’s a visual and cool trick. Good for in person or camera. I’m a fan.

You pay for the method Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on June 26th, 2022
This is one of those tricks where I understand that you pay for the method, not the material. The performance is very cool, although you need to do it under certain lighting conditions. As I said, the material leaves a bit to be desired as the holes are not very well done, with paper burrs, and the black stickers are poorly placed and do not fit well in the holes. But, once you've paid and you know the method, you can make your own set correctly, and even improve the included material to make an exceptional performance.

Great routine - need 'magician perspective' for video Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on May 31st, 2022
Really nice routine with quality video instructions on performance.

One change I believe would be a significant improvement is to switch the camera angle for the performance part of the instructions. Needs to be magician view rather than audience.

'Nothing' has several left/right hand switches and it was very hard for me to flip views in my head. Simply switching the camera perspective would make this exceptional!

(I ended up flipping my laptop screen upside down to get me through :-)
