It is not really a control but helps you control a card. I have an older Hoyle magic book that has almost this exact method so I am skeptical of the "underground status". Some claims in the text are a bit misleading, I can't elaborate without giving away the method. Should have been a MUCH cheaper download.

That being said it is useful for few times with a deck but caution doing it many times with the same deck, meaning I wouldn't want to do this is for multiple groups or participants in one night.

I was thinking 3 stars for the review but the price made me choose 2 stars. The method is okay but you probably already know something similar.

I had not seen this technique in card magic before, this is super clever!

The presentation is decent as is the teaching. Shows real world application. Teaches a cleanup thats okay at best. Slightly misleading advertising because the method is not really a control but can allow you to utilize a control of your choice.


Pros.
Most people wont know where or what to look for if they are looking for it.
The deck can be shuffled by participants with the selection in it.

Cons.
Wears your cards faster.
Possible to spot the method when being shuffled by the participant but not likely. See pro number 1.

Not as underground as they say, its not used lots probably because other methods are easier on your deck. You probably already know similar methods that have more benefits than this one also.

I thought about giving this 3 stars because it can be used and the presentation/teaching isn't bad but decided on 2 2tars because I feel it is over priced even at 25% off and the misleading advertising.

Nice guy with great explanations. The technic will ruin your deck of cards if you want to practice a lot. I think there are better ways to do it. But still, if you are curious and like the effect buy it, you won't be so disappointed.

I could make a fortune by going through old books, rehearsing for a moment, make a video, and claim the effect has been "undergound" for years....

I guess it's what people have been doing recently with the Tarbell stuff... but I'm not 100% sure its ethical... or even necessary... Less so when you're charging 50% of what the book is available for on other sites.

The rant being over with... the control is clever and easy to do... so the control gets the stars... the ethics behind the flashy release gets none.

As in other user reviews, this is not itself a control. It's just a way to find a particular card. In addition, it is only one variation of an old method. Reset(?) is also sloppy(just like my English), I think it is difficult to use it repeatedly in walk-around.

I'm very glad I made this download. This card control is elegant and extremely baffling. Also not difficult to learn.
Given that the control of the selected card involves physically changing the card, albeit in a very subtle way, I'm not sure I will perform this control on a regular basis, but it's like a lot of excellent magic that I have purchased from Penguin Magic in that I want this secret in my repertoire, even if I don't use it.

This goes to show you, if you dig in the old books, there’s gems hidden there. Nice control and effect.
