This is very visual, and reasonably easy to do. There are no real sleights involved, but you do
need to work out the routine sequence. The one downside is that the cards aren't examinable... and
given what you're showing the spectator, they're going to have a strong urge to want to check them
out.
The only thing I don't get is, why would anyone want to buy this as a stand-alone
effect, when for a few dollars more, you can get Miracles For Mortals in which Williams covers this
effect, plus another hour+ of pretty solid material? Given this choice, I'd definitely opt for the
full DVD, and make the gimmick myself. It's simple enough to do that I wouldn't recommend paying a
premium for it.

Its a good trick, very easy to do and hard hitting. There isnt much more to ask for. I would
recommend this to anyone who is just getting in to card magic.

Hi! This is your official PenguinMagic reviewer B_Magic! I recently had the pleasure of meeting
Geoff Williams and seeing this effect live and in person from the master himself before buying it.
It really is an amazing effect that will get reactions! If you like packet tricks, and you want
something that packs small but plays HUGE, you need to pick this up. With proper performance and
practice (as with all effects), this one will make jaws hit the floor.

This is Larry Jennings' "Close Up Illusion." I love Geoff Williams' creativity, and his presentation
is interesting (except, I love David Copperfield,) however, as far as I know it's not his trick to
teach, unless he bought the rights. Also, Williams teaches this effect on "Miracles for Mortals"
which I whole-heartedly recommend, and is a better value for your money.

The best thing about this effect is that it is super visual. The card truly looks like it's melting
through the other cards. Plus, it is super simple to do. I was able to perform it within a day of
receiving it. The reactions are huge! But you have to make sure the audience is really paying
attention because if they are not paying close attention, they might miss it. Very visual and is not
a pick a card trick.

Sometimes the simpler the better.
This is one illusion that belongs in the 'Most effective but
easiest to do" category.
Because of an injury to my left hand incured during the Viet Nam war I
am unable to do most card tricks so an illusion of this type is perfect for me. The 'wow' factor is
a 10.
I recommend it to everyone who loves close-up magic.

I just want to say, I am sometimes a little critical of some of the magic sold. I have to say this
makes up for several of the past bad choices I have made. I love this effect, presentation and
simplicity. Will start putting this to work ASAP.

This trick gets revealed a lot on the web and let me just say - those revelations are ALL WRONG!
This is the real deal and if you've only watched this on the web, you haven't seen the real deal!
Geoff's effect is beautiful and his handling is superb! Don't settle for the cheap imitation! Pick
this up. Here is my video review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=373UHBZTjMM
Awesome. Simple as that, I do this all the time & everywhere! My wife figures some stuff out cause
she knows some of my sleights & she is usually the 1st person show things to. If I can get a
reaction out of her it goes in to my briefcase...After a year of doing this, she has not figured
this out & it still freaks her out.
I do a lot of research before I buy an effect, and I've been thinking about this one for a couple of
years. Wow! I'm glad I got this one! It's very, very easy to do and the illusion of the card melting
through is just jaw-dropping! Of course, you'll have to clean up after the effect if you want to be
totally clean, which is why I will use the Ultimate Card Control Utility for this, and other,
effects.
Brilliant, simply brilliant.
