The wax I got in the mail was absolutely rock hard, it is harder than normal magicians wax that I
have. I thought that card on ceiling wax was supposed to be much softer and stickier. I tried to
work with the wax to get it soft and that didn't work, I tried throwing it so many times, but Then I
realized that the wax I got won't stick one card to a wall when it is pressed on with my finger let
alone a card to a ceiling when it is thrown up there.
If anyone has any troubleshooting advice
for me that would be great. I know that this is a great trick, but I feel kind of ripped off by the
quality and consistency of the wax that I got.
I can't give a product that absolutely does not
work at all a good review, and so sadly The card on Ceiling only gets one star from me.
If
anyone has any ideas please comment them.

Hi! This is your official PenguinMagic reviewer, B_Magic.
This is a great effect! It's
something that is not only an amazing feat of magic, but its fun and entertaining as well,
ESPECIALLY if you dress it right and really play it up to its best potential (which is true for just
about any effect).
I give it 4 stars because of a couple things. One, sticking a card to
the ceiling isn't necessarily the most "magical" someone can do, and so this trick does really rely
on your ability to sell the effect to make it a killer effect. I think, performed poorly, most
people may not know exactly how you got their card out of the deck, but will assume you put
something on their card and stuck it up on the ceiling. The verdict: a non-entertained or amazed
audience.
The other thing is that you have to watch where you do this effect. You can't
just perform this anywhere, which can be a pain for someone who performs regularly or for a living.
In fact, I've been asked years ago at one of my restaurants to stop performing this effect because
it broke fire code.
Definitely a trick worth having in the arsenal though. I would
recommend this one.

This is Card on Ceiling, a CLASSIC effect. Now, if you have read any of my other reviews, you know
that I subscribe to the theory that things become classics for a reason. Crappy tricks never see the
light of day after they are released.
This is a trick that stood the test of time; it is
truly a miracle to be able to have a card lost in the center, the deck bound and TOSSED at the
ceiling ONLY to have the SPECTATORS SIGNED selection stick. This is something truly magical, and has
ONE other benefit: Most people NEVER take this card down.
Whether it be sheer laziness or
memory based, the card you stick to the ceiling stays on that ceiling. If they do take it off, it is
ALWAYS weeks before they do, making this not only a powerful feat of magic, but also making this a
great way to be remembered by an audience. Visual reminders are the best, and if you can get one IN
THEIR house or building in a MAGICAL way, you are set.
Not to mention the practicality of
this effect; you have to carry around a couple SMALL things and you can perform this anywhere (that
has a ceiling). All of these things are included and work brilliantly.
For almost 13
dollars, how can you NOT buy this?

One of the best all time card routines available. Do not wait, order yours today!!!
I use this at the end of my ACR after doing card to pocket. As they say in the video dl that penguin
provides with it, it is a born show stopper. Just make sure you practice the toss. I nailed the move
the very first time I practiced it, but the second and third times were fails. With a little
practice you will get it every time though.
this effect is amazing. best closer ever. people will remember this trick for a long time
Glad to find this in the Cool Box and pleasantly surprised to find it came with the "necessary
something" instead of it being an additional purchase. (I really hate that) Nice Job.
The video
was a nice touch too.
A fun classic and I got it for that reason. Easy to carry and work
in and out. My only concerns are first, the move used in the throw seems simple....yet. And if the
band breaks you have a Spectacular 52 card pick 'em up game when practicing.Though bending is good
for you.
Second, is finding a place you can actually DO this. Needs to be high enough, the
right surface and not get hassled by security. Not really practical for street work unless you scout
it out first.I would ask in hotels or public places.
In the right venue, this is a fun
trick and while hardly a brain melter, good for a group to enjoy and makes a nice impact when it
hits. Magic is supposed to be fun, and this is.
If you don't care about keeping your stuff impromptu, then this is a pretty decent effect. One thing
to note, is that it is crucial to practice and practice your tosses. There is no worse feeling, than
seeing the whole deck falling down without the card stuck to the ceiling. Once you have the practice
down, this effect usually gets some pretty amazing reactions. If you want to do something different,
then buy this now.
