This is a man who knows his stuff, but LOVES the sound of his own voice. There is a great deal of talking in between effects and almost non stop talking as his primary method. As this is mentalism, to a large extent this is acceptable, however his explanations are long sermons also.
In his explanation of finding out the day and month of someone's birth he talks about looking for the spectator's "reaction" - but he does not elicit what this so-called reaction is. Is it a blink? A smile? If the spectator is poker-faced there must be some body language "reaction" but WHAT!!!
I found myself being intrigued and then frustrated by both his effects and his explantions, therefore I have only given 3 stars!

The material in this is incredible, but Peter does ramble quite a bit. Everything he says is gold, but it could be formatted in an easier to understand method. I have watched this many times, and each time I get a bit more out of it.

The routines (each one) are real workers, and amazing. They are well worth the trouble of following Peter. I am performing several of them now and they are jaw-droppers. This is as close to real mentalism as possible. It is a cross between cold-reading and traditional mentalism and I can't speak highly enough about it.

He speaks a lot about being bold, and taking chances. He shows how he presents it so if it is a miss, it is no big deal. Most of his work is not a guaranteed hit, but the deck is stacked in his favor.

The only reason I gave it a 4 is it is not as organized and understandable as it could be.

This is not your average mentalism DVD. The effects taught on these videos are like nothing you've likely seen before. I do want to warn that any beginners who purchase this download will feel cheated. If you have, however, been into mentalism for a while you will see how awesome these techniques truly are. Peter is an extremely good and interesting teacher. The format of the videos was wonderfully put together as well. I can honestly say that I will not be using all the effects on the videos, but did enjoy the powerful insight that Peter shares. If you are serious about mentalism and want to take your mentalism to the next level, I would recommend this download for you. If you are not at that level yet, please wait to make your purchase. When you are ready and you do buy them, you will not be disappointed. I promise you!

I really enjoyed the casual format of this set as it has an intimate feel which completely sums up Peter's style.

The set goes over some great effects with that Turneresque feel of boldness. While there was some rehashing and re-visiting of some of his previous works, getting to see him perform live and hear his theory and concepts for is work is ALWAYS inspiring... (At least for me personally)

Overall, this would be for the true performer and for the higher intermediate to advanced mentalist. There is a certain level of confidence or as Peter terms it "boldness" required to pull off some of these feats and a willlingness to fail which ultimately should be present for any mentalist.

In summary... This is great!

Even if I still have to gain some confidence to put this material to the test, I can say right now that all routines are very clever and combined with every detail that Peter gives you are just brillant.
Also Peter's approach to performing is highly motivational and you'll listen to his cogitations with pleasure.
You need to buy it by yourself to see what I'm talking about!

this is excellent! first !the methods for the effects are so subtle,that no one would even think about how it's done.second most of them are impromptu and require no props,just your mind.so even if you forget your magic/mentalism props,you can still amaze people.But this requires focused practice and your presentation must be spot on,or else it won't work. im only twelve but I'm a really good public speaker so it works out.if you're not as good with presentation I wouldn't recommend this to you,but it does tell you in amazing detail on how to overcome that on the DVD.

The reason I bought the DVD really was so you can predict someone's birthday.But the birthday prediction is the absolute hardest trick on the DVD.I just like to focus on one trick at a time for this and after a month or two of practicing I will have mastered it.

I've used py forces for about 30 yrs and was really looking forward to this. I bought both this and Pete's live lecture and unfortunately they cover much of the things, thought this went into a bit more detail. However, the py forces simply did not work for me. Maybe with more tweeking I don't know? So even though that aspect was a huge disappoint I did learn quite a bit just not what I was hoping for. And the instant star sign effect definitely fell short as well.

This download was incredible, to say the least. You are literally learning from a man who knows his stuff. The most amazing thing is that he challenges the viewer to embrace the true notion of being a performer, and to be creative in his own right. I have tried many of his effects, and especially Isabella's Star, and boy, does this hit! He even said that he strives for moments of true astonishment, no backflips, no yells, but rather a quiet moment of astonishment, where the person is speechless due to the impossibility of the effect. From experience with these effects, I can say that the reactions are not the main point, but rather the presentation, and through that, the connection that can be established with other people, with complete strangers. He was right in saying that with this kind of mentality, you will go out and start myths, and legends. These effects are only a small fraction of what a true mentalist can do: the stars are the limit. To be able to cause an event of mystery is one thing, but to be mystery itself... Well... That's an entire new level.
Very well taught, thorough, with good explanations. Of course, it will take practice, and indeed it will not work every time at first, but once you get it down, it becomes seamless. Like Peter said, when the worst happens and you fail.... There... That's the worst, no big deal. It's not going to ruin your career. Just move on. Then again, this is something out of this world, thus you cannot fail. A true magician and mentalist keeps and open mind, and works to inspire others. When odds are against you, use your "magic" and turn the tables. This is your chance for incredible things. Embrace the magic of this world and go out there and change the lives of others.
