Beware!!! IT IS - EXTREMELY FRAGILE!!!
It's a "cute" idea that can EASILY, EASILY be
accomplished in MANY other full-proof ways.
The panels and envelope material are so flimsy
and weak that they will only last a few shows.
This will break many times over and you WILL
be sorry that you punched it!
let the buyer BEWARE!!!

The only reason this got any stars at all is because the flap is super fast and easy to make change.
I've performed this trick once with maybe about 20-30 rehearsals and the thread has already broke on
one and is fraying on the rest. Mine didn't come with a wipe cloth or extra thread as mentioned in
the tutorial. The whiteboards do not erase easily, usually taking multiple cloths/towels to get
most of the ink off. The plastic holder is cheap, flimsy, and already has wrinkled and torn in
places. I know a lot of this sounds like I must be throwing the product off of a building, but I
assure you that I take all the precautions as instructed in the video. I wish the fronts were
whiteboards as well so that it could, in fact, be fully customizable like said in the trailer. For
$220, this is absolute garbage that I wouldn't pay $20 for.

I am a working professional.
I purchased this at full price (over $200). I thought it was
going to be great. When I tested it, it didn't work. At home it worked ok, but when I tried to
perform a routine in front of an audience, too much time went by between setting up the cards and
then revealing them. (About an hour) The cards wouldn't change all the way. I was standing there
with the big card holder in one hand, pulled the card out with the other hand and it didn't work.
I'm stuck there with both hands full and can't really turn the card around. I started tapping the
card against my body to assist the faulty mechanism. That looked terrible and that happened 4 times
in the routine. Once for each card I pulled out.
Basically, if it's set up early, it won't
work.
Also, when I wrote on the cards, the writing was solid, dark, and perfect. Later,
when the cards were revealed, they looked half erased. White spots here and there with some lines
missing. I thought it looked cheap and crappy. Maybe I would have to write over it a few times when
setting it up. I don't know.
The magical properties of the changing cards might be usable
for something in the future, but for the most part, the routine I bought it for does not look good
enough to be in my stage show without looking like a cheesy piece of junk.
The price for
this unreliable, unprofessional, and practically unusable prop is absolutely ridiculous. It is only
laminated cardboard. It will wear out just like a deck of cards. If the instructions include how to
repair the unreliable thing, that obviously tells you something.
I'm so disappointed. I'll
have to make this thing work for me in some other way somehow because I can't just throw away over
$200 just to find out about how bad something can be.
I have NEVER given a negative review
in my life, but I feel that now I must warn my fellow magicians. I read the positive reviews and I
just can't believe that any working pro would want to show this prop in their act.
Beware
of this!

I love the customization possibilities of this version. I really think the opportunity to change out
the list is a game-changer and definitely makes it worth considering. It's definitely a good size
for stage work and is visible if you are careful with how you write it.
The downside is the
fragility of the panels. There is an unnecessary weakness created in all the panels with a product
many magicians use but many avoid. If one of these breaks, the panel will not make the switch you
need for the trick to work. The problem is that this weakness was not necessary. Simply allowing
gravity to do its job would have still allowed the gimmick to work (since it's happening without the
audience seeing it work). Yes, you can do this "visible switch" you see in the trailer, but in all
honesty most magicians wouldn't want to do that. There is a very obvious flaw in the panels that you
can minimize with normal handling, but if you do the visible change the flaw is obvious and gives
away the method.
If you handle this carefully and set it up just before your show (not at
home before you get there) you should be ok for a while. They do give you a tutorial on how to fix
the gimmick once it breaks (and it will at some point) but it's just a pain to do and a completely
unnecessary failure point. If they go to a version 2.0 with this, I hope they'll just go with the
obvious and simple solution of removing the flaw and just allow gravity to work.
For the
price, you're buying something you can customize and it's a nice addition to your act. However,
you're also buying something that will at some point break, hopefully before the show when you can
do something else and not while you are performing.

The first time I open it the elastics from the flaps broke immediately and this prop is very
expensive for the low and cheap materials used to be made, the trick is amazing I really want to
keep it but I need the version with No elastic!

I love the concept and the idea behind the trick, but one of the envelopes broke the very first time
I tried to set it up (following instructions from DVD).
I've tried fixing it using the
materials provided, but it broke again.
It feels etremely cheap for a prop this expensive.
Steer clear from it, unless you've got some money to burn or enjoy constanly fixing your
props.

Brillant, very well designed and explained.

The pros - great idea - erasable, does what it says
The cons - not extremely durable (although I
used it for many shows myself). You WILL have to replace the elastic threads so just get ready for
that. Otherwise, it works perfectly fine. Just be careful with your props and don't throw this
around as if it won't become damaged.
I am really impressed not only by the routine and the magic itself, but by the explanation video
that is very, very accurate and with the instructions to repair the gimmick.
I love the concept
as it allows for very clean handling with no force!
I had an old version and a new one is much
better, the fact that I can try different routines and not worry about what I'll write - makes me
happy
The quality of the product itself is very good, the case is convenient so that the
product is always with you and will serve you for a long time!
The mechanism itself is
neatly made, the trick is clearly visible from the stage, I managed to try several routines, the
routine with gifts works best!

There seems to be quite a lot of buzz around this item. The props are nicely made and it looks very
effective. You can show five cards and they can freely pick any one and it will have the words on
it you choose. The gimmick is quite clever. Very versatile.
If you need to force 5 or more
items (you can purchase more cards) and are in a parlor or stage environment, this would be a
perfect, clean, easy to do and no hassle choice. I personally would not add the vanish of the
number which is shown as a bonus effect.
