To watch Tommy Wonder is a study in master magicianship. Wonder's thinking on magic is so nuanced,
so polished and so evolved. You may look at this DVD and think, "what, only five tricks?" First,
they are five awesome tricks. Some of the best, close-up magic performances ever captured. The
price of the DVD is worth it just for the performances. However the value in this DVD is just not
in the tricks but in the thinking behind the tricks.
Wonder is a perfectionist. Every word
and movement has been refined. There is nothing left to chance in his routine. There are no wasted
patter lines or movements. This is a master course in misdirection, audience management and magic
theory.
First thing to note is that the degree of difficulty is quite high. However, do
not let that discourage you. Even if you never perform any of these tricks, you magic will be
better for having studied this material.
Of all the tricks, the Tamed Card is the most
accessible to intermediate cardicians. Tamed Card is Wonder's version of the Wild Card routine. If
you plan on learning this, be sure to pick up a Wild Card set. Wonder goes so far as to carry four
prepared packets while doing walk around. The whole reason is to perform magic on an entirely
different level - for the random spectator that is watching you perform close up magic from a
distance.
The other gem on this is Tommy Wonder's Two Cup, Cups & Balls routine. This is
a master course on misdirection. Even when you know it's coming, his misdirection is so strong that
it is very hard for even a magician to catch. Highest recommendation!

If you care about your magic, then I highly recommend this 3 volume DVD set! Tommy was a skilled
craftsman, performer, and all around great man! He really, really thought about his magic and it
shows in the effects he performs (which, by the way, he performed all his own material). He was a
classy performer and the magic communinity will never be the same again.

Anything with the name Tommy Wonder is going to teach you something. I really like the two cup
routine and the ring the watch and the wallet routines. Even though the set up can take a bit the
response is worth all the work required. Some of his material you can not buy and will have to build
or have built. One thing for sure you will love the magic of Tommy Wonder. Add to cart.

Tommy has done more to hone my sence of Magic more than anyone else in the Magic community. His
series is the best educational tool available to those who seek to master the craft regardless of
ability. It isn't only the individual tricks he explains but his terrific insight to how to manage
your audience. What a shame it was to lose this master a few years ago.

There are few magicians everyone should study, Slydini, Ramsay, Vernon, and Wonder. While many of
the effects on here you will not perform, they honestly only work for Tommy Wonder, it's the
thinking, theory, and principles you will walk away with and use. You need all 3 volumes along with
the Books of Wonder/

This DVD was one of the best informative DVD I have bought in quite some time. Tommy's routine was
very thought out from beginning to the end. Also I learned a few more moves that I have not seen, so
it was well worth the price of the DVD. Thank you
wonderful explanation for method as well as presentation, highly recommend...Wonder's work will make
you a better performer of magic.
I love Tommy Wonder he's the best. I love the watch effect so far that's my favourite effect on here
and I look forward to performing it. The reason only four stars is because Max Maven wouldn't shut
his mouth! He kept in interrupting Tommy and I wanted to hear what Tommy had to say. Damn Max was
annoying! Anyways add this to your cart. Tommy wonder is a genius and the advise he gives is the
best.
This dvd, as a standalone, is not going to prove to be all that useful. The first effect requires
you to be rigged up like a marionette puppet, but only after shopping for two watches that are hard
to find. Otherwise, you're doing some very serious improvising which certainly will cut into the
beauty of Tommy's performance. I don't find these routines to be "workers." They certainly don't
reset. You will, however, learn some great theory, a new handling of cups and balls, and a new Wild
Card routine. However, some of it is paired with obscure items that you certainly don't have. I
hate buying videos where I can't reasonably pick up all of the supplies or work from what I have on
my own.
However, if you're just a viewer, someone who wants to know how everything is
done, or how the best does it, this may be for you. I just wouldn't expect to be able to go out and
do these routines. I'll skip the other discs.
