I had a jumbo deck from years ago, and just needed one of the opposite color. But the quality now has changed so dramatically, that I'll have to buy another deck, or find a different brand altogether.

They are made of a fairly thin cardboard stock.

Wow... For the record, you should all pick these up now... Allow me to elaborate.

Basically, when the US Playing Card Company moved headquarters to Kentucky from Ohio, they decreed that they would stop making jumbo decks. This means that ANY bicycle jumbo cards that are out there now are PROBABLY the last of the batch. Go grab these babies while they last!

Okay, scored a few packs? Let me tell you why else I love them.

-Penguins Price: Penguin sells these for a REDICULOUSLY cheap price. 12 dollars is about 8 dollars cheaper than you can get them ANYWHERE else on the web.

-Quality: These seem expensive compared to a buck for a jumbo pack at a dollar store, but the stiffness of these babies is a true testament to their strength. I use these things in ALL of my parlour routines that use cards. Easy to see, and really durable.

I love these cards. I have an older version and they are thicker than these. I wanted to replace my old deck of cards, which is so many years old, with new ones. And I don't regret it. I have already bought several decks and plan to buy more. I want to make a card lock, some package tricks... . The cards are of good quality and everyone will find a worthy use for them. Regarding the box, yes, it is not strong, but it does not matter to me. I will make a new one from good cardboard or thin plastic. I recommend these cards. Buy while they're still on sale.

As I'm unfamiliar with earlier manufacturing of these cards I have nothing to compare them with,...apples for apples as it were. But in my opinion these are just fine for parlor or stage work. If a person were looking for something that could be fanned/manipulated like a normal sized deck I'd have to say they won't work well in that case but otherwise I really can't find any fault with them. As to durability, well like many things it pays to take care of your props. These are not going to hold up for a long period if handled roughly, or with dirty hands. I intend to have these in my 'kit' for a long time!

Not a bad deck of cards, but not the quality I expect from Bicycle. The cards are too thin and flimsy. They look ok, but the quality is equivalent to a deck of dollar store playing cards.
