This is a great illusion, and eye-catching opening for other magic you may perform. Jay is
outstanding teacher and the booklet and DVD explain everything. My suggestions are NOT to keep
looking at your untied laces as I did, but let someone else point them out to you. Also, have some
patter to accompany the trick. I tell them I just had knee surgery (true,) and can't bend my knee,
so I learned how to tie them with no hands. I did this for my wife and business partner with NO
practice at all, and they were impressed. Also, the reset does take 3 seconds, but the preparation
for the reset takes a couple of minutes---- In private, as undoing your pants is required. I've
found that if you tie a piece of matching colored thread to the gimmick, the reset now will take
only 3 seconds, without hiding in a closet or restroom. If you loudly say, "watch this!" any noise
made by the gimmick will be masked. After performing "STS, your audience will expect more.
Be prepared! This is an impressive opener!

This was the first non-card trick that a friend got me a while back. Many of my friends demand it. I
do this trick all the time- it's so easy, but so visual. I've gotten some crazy reactions on this
one. I set this up for every shoe that I own, and I have it ready at all times. Highly recommended.

This trick couldn't be much easier and more stunning. Great for beginners or seasoned vets and of
course, perfect for the street. Here's what I think out of 10:
Ease: 3/10 (10 being hard)
Comfort 8 /10 (10 being comfortable)
Reset speed 7/10 (10 being instant)
Overall effect
8/10 (10 being stunning)
Please note that I don't think you could reset in front of an
audience, but a moment by yourself, and you're all good. Get this trick!

Very easy, practical, and perfect for walk around. If your a beginner this is for you, good ice
breaker specially for family parties children will love it, or will look at you weird. (momma?)

I like this trick it is not to hard and gets a strong reaction. If you entertain children this is a
must have. You will have a lot of fun doing this trick for others as well and all you have to do is
wait until someone notices your shoe is untied then your on.

STS is a must buy.
A lot of times you will find out that it is really hard to perform a trick as
nice as the magician in the DVD.
But not this one.
Very clever gimmick and with short set up
time can make it like a real magic.

TITLE and Creator: Self Tying Shoelace by Jay Noblezada
Effect: The magician displays his
untied shoelace, and it promptly ties itself
Price: 20 bucks? i'd pay 30! PS: penguin,
don't raise the price though! hehe
Teaching: Jay is an amazing teacher, no exception here.
Quality of materials(if it is a gimmik etc): the gimmick included works great, i have yet
to have any problems with it!
Difficulty: not that hard really, some might find it kinda
hard i guess,but it wasn't for me.
Applications: I use this with walkaround magic all the
time, and with just family and friends!
Overall Rating: 10/10 if there is a perfect trick,
it very well may be this one, the problem is, it isn't perfect, because a great man once said, if
the trick is too perfect, then there is only one explenation, and that is the secret!

This is an amazing trick,it is angle-proof and shock everyone I perform it to.The price is very
reasonable as you get an instructional DVD and the gimmick for $20.This is highly recommended.

If you're like me, this trick will work perfectly with a casual street magic style. I've not used it
a huge amount since I bought, but when I have its always impressed. I've put a bit of time into
"dirtying" up the laces to make them more realistic, and would recommend the same to you. nice
effect, well taught!

This is one of those tricks where you have an “of course!” moment when learning how to use the
gimmick and how it is performed. Don’t let the simplicity fool you! This is a great trick and can be
used to great effect. Make sure you take great care in detail and use the same lace as your shoe.
You get a fun trick at a great price.
