The method is a good one, and once you know it you can build several similar props with it, as the DVD acknowledges. As with most things in magic, it takes practice to get it just right.

I've read reviews that say it is cheaply made and unreliable. Mine is well-made and holds up well.

As for the effect, it's of limited utility, but it's a good and more modern substitute for the old milk pitcher effect.

Overall I give it 4 stars.
