Since I live right next door to Andrew in our hometown, I've had my hands on this already as well.
This is rich and loaded with so much potential for countless effects. It will work with other
popular magic and mentalism effects and will stand the test of time due to its innocent appearance
and practicality.
I'm with Jeff. Is this just another label for the Parson Switch box?
Hey Jeff and Jim! So Boom Box is indeed different. It has a locking mechanism that can hold the switched card in, and still be accessible without needing to do anything extra. There is no reset, and the box can hold an entire deck. Essentially it acts as a notmal card box! In addition Craig teaches some absolutely fantastic routines.
All in all it's been a few years in the works, and we're happy to finally bring it to you!
This looks very similar to the Romero Box.
Mark, Boom Box does not use magnets, and has nothing to reset! You can also fit an entire deck inside the box. Cheers!
This sure does look like something that was put out by Masuda years ago, titled Boxing Match.
I'd scrap the first 10 seconds of the first vid. The move is so blatant that it gave the action away, and made the gaff move obvious for the rest of the demos. The rest of the switches are much cleaner and natural.
it's the parson box with a little twist. Is the boom box better.. yes. I will use this over the parson box.you can pull the card out without any fear of the main part exposing.
Hello Andrew,
I just purchased Boom Box and I'm looking forward to performing with it. I'm not sure why some of your reviewers feel like that need to "catch you" using other similar ideas. I can see you spent MANY hours perfecting Boom Box and what's the old adage that "we stand on the shoulders of giants". Anyway, I appreciate your creative ideas and at a reasonable price. Thank you. ED
AS SOON AS GREIG TURNED THE BOX OVER AND I STILL SAW THE SAME SIDE, THE ONLY THING IS YOU CAN SEE THE BACK OF THE BOX NEVER CHANGES, IT LOOKS LIKE A BOX WITH THE SAME BACK ON BOTH SIDES, I USE THIS AND SOMEONE WOULD CALL ME OUT ON THIS, THIS IS TO EASY.
I might be saying the obvious but if you perform this in front of a few people someone is going to want to look at the box. I am guessing it cannot be handed out in any way (unless you put it quickly in your pocket that has another box to pull;l out. Am i correct? Thanks
This looks exactly like an old trick I got 20 years ago called boxing match by Masuda
