The out to lunch principal is such a perfect addition to Add-a-Number, and the execution of OTL here
is extra deceptive because you don't have to turn anything over or hide anything. Verifying
initials/signatures after the total is reached feels more theatrical than having them confirm their
numbers, as you would do in many other versions of Add-a-Number.
The only thing this is
missing functionally, compared to some other solutions, is the ability to toggle the switch back and
forth. With this one, once the switch has been executed, it needs to be reset in private. The reset
isn't hard, but you can't switch the original page back mid-routine. This is by no means a
deal-breaker, but the one-way switch prevents the ability to use a subtlety that I've grown used to
using from E. Raymond Carlyle. In case the two-way toggle is a dealbreaker for anyone, I thought it
was at least worth mentioning.
All in all, this is a fantastic prop.
