Been a subscriber for 4 months now and have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of this card
club. This is the perfect deal for any card collector. The four decks you receive each month are
worth almost double what you would pay elsewhere, and that doesn't include the cost of shipping from
those other places. Great cards! Great price! I highly recommend this deal to any magician,
cardist or collector out there. I'll be keeping this subscription for the foreseeable future.

The changes to card club for me are not worth it. I have stopped my subscription. I don't like the
limitation of only being penguin decks and I really don't like getting two of the same deck. Change
it back or give a choice to us and I will come back.

The decks are real cool. I particularly like the side opening.
I have never seen that before.
the gaff cards are neat but I would really like to see the tricks you can do with them. Probably
elementary for most magicians but a little review wouldn't be bad.
Can’t wait untill next month.
I only just joined in July, but I love the 2x2 format. You get two sets of two Penguin
Magic-exclusive decks. I use my cards, so this gives me the option of keeping one sealed for my
collection. If I really love the cards (see: Architects), I'll use both decks and buy more. August
seems to be following the trend of offering decks I find desirable, so it's a win so far.
I personally love the "two each of two decks" approach. This way, I don't have to feel guilty about
putting my cards to hard use. Think of it as buying two PM-exclusive decks and getting two free,
which is fantastic.
I personally love the two-deck deal. I prefer to have a spare of any given deck so I don't have to
feel bad about wearing one out. July had two amazing and wildly different designs from the same
talented artist, and both are amazing. I instantly want to buy a brick of Architects. They look and
feel incredible, although I'd prefer all royalty going forward to receive some amount of color work.
The turn-of-the-century carnival theme depicted in the Steeplechase Park deck is unique and
well-executed, with a beautifully muted dark blue standing in for the black suits. I feel like I
bought two of the year's best decks and got two free.
I absolutely recommend Penguin's Card Club.
I'm more of a playing card collector than I am
a serious magician or cardician, although I do enjoy dabbling in both. As a collector, I already
acquire a large number of decks each month.
Penguin's Card Club sends me four decks per
month, and pretty much every month I get one or two decks I was curious about but passed up on
during their initial release (usually because of price), I get one or two decks I already have and
very much like (and so, don't mind getting a redundant back-up), and then one or two decks that
hadn't even occurred to me to pick up (possibly didn't even know about) but that are nonetheless
nice additions to the collection. The price per deck ends up being quite reasonable.
From
time to time, you even get a preview of a deck you didn't even know was coming. June 2016's edition
included the new Westminster deck, for example, and the Black Honeybee, which hasn't even been
formally announced, yet.
All-in-all, I find this to be a great value.
If it weren't for the international shipping (to Canada) and the Customs Lottery(may or may not be
dinged for customs charges), this is a great deal.
But alas poor yorick, when you live with the
Huskies in the igloo with the midnight sun....it is the same price per deck at twice the cost and
then higher if one wins the customs lottery.
