You show four coins on a table or desk. They are two nickels, a penny and a dime. The total value is 21 cents. You pick up one coin at a time, placing it into the palm of your left hand. You count the value of each coin as you place it into your palm, until all coins--total of 21 cents--are in your palm.

Big deal, your spectators think... With just a touch of showmanship you remove one nickel from your hand and place it into your right hand pocket. You close your left hand over the "remaining" coins and ask innocently, "how much is left?"

Your spectator answers your simple question, "16 cents". You open your fist to reveal that it is empty. The 16 cents is gone!

Your pocket and the nickel you have placed in it may be freely examined.

Hi. This is your official PenguinMagic reviewer, B_Magic.

I personally don't really like this trick to much. I thought it was pretty cool as a novice, but that was pretty short lived. The trick lends itself to a lot of skepticism, and so you REALLY got to work hard on performance and presentation to pull this off, something that a lot of beginners really don't focus on (I know I didn't back then...I just wanted to do the trick).

You will not be able to perform the effect fully like Oz does in the vid without sleight of hand and positioning, so be prepared to work on this one a bit if you do plan to purchase it. I think though, this is one that will be fun for newbies for awhile, but will get shelved as soon as they see the marginal reactions you'll get from this, especially with poor performance.

If you are just starting out with coin magic then this is a pretty cool one. I find that you get better reactions with this type of trick when you do it for school aged spectators rather than adults. From my experience, adults aren't always impressed. Some will really enjoy it but unless you're doing a lot of magic for adolescence, then maybe stay away from this one.

The 21 Cent Trick is the best coin trick on the market, well, in my opinion it is. It is easy to do, it comes with all the necessary coins and instructions. I got mine from Penguin Magic and I have to say, the price and the quality is unbelievable. Check out the video demo where Oz performs it. You'll be blown away! I guarantee it. This trick is so easy to do, I didn't even need to read the instructions, I started performing it right away, my friends had no idea how I made the 16 cents disappear. They couldn't believe their eyes, and neither will you, when you perform it.
It's going to take you about 10 seconds to learn it. This trick is simple, yet very davestating.
Thanks Penguin!!!!! I LLLLLLLLLLLOOOOVVVEEE YYYOOUUU.

This trick is so dumb. There are a lot of good tricks, but the 21 cent trick isn't one of them.
