So I love sponge balls, but I hate, as others call them, "clown noses". Black just suits me more. Also the color allows for them to be hidden "in plain sight" based on the color of clothes I am wearing. I normally use 2" when I used the red ones, but I wanted to try smaller so they would travel in my pocket better and with kids, smaller sponge balls = better for smaller hands.
