As a rule, I try not to review anything until I've tested it with various audiences a fair amount of
time to gauge reactions. As magicians we have our own ideas about how good we think a trick is and
if we don't test it we can provide pretty biased reviews. A device like this has many, many possible
uses, though the basic "Which hand?" plot is its primary purpose. The price point may seem steep for
an apparently simple effect, but trust me when I say, this has gotten me some of THE MOST incredible
reactions ever.
You can really mess with people if you use this properly. I know some
people worry about looking totally clean, but even when I need to finger palm the device, it totally
kills. Never been caught, some people have guessed what's going on, but only in the midst of 12
other guesses and they had no idea which was actually correct. If you do this like 10 times for
someone and get it wrong once or twice on purpose it really makes people believe you can get in
their heads and understand their psychology. I always start off with, "Are you right or left
handed?" then proceed to make some remark about why it would be obvious that they chose their
dominant hand (or not depending on what they choose), and I get make up new tells each time they do
it. It's super fun for the participant and the audience. I've had a couple of people try to trick me
by putting in their pocket, and you can catch them cheating, which just destroys them. I actually
hope they try to cheat every time I do it now.
Well made device, super easy to use, and so
much fun to perform. Easily one of the best addition to my repertoire in 15+ years.
Wait till you have a problem with the device and contact hugo , you will then change your entire review , worst after purchase customer service ive ever had ,not penguin but hugo and chumps.
