I received my Penic gimmick today. I have messed with it for hours and it it doesn't work. There
is an included item that makes the flash. However mine won't ignite even when exposed to direct
flame.

I was under the impression that the gimmick works with flash cotton. Are you saying you got defective flash cotton? Or the gimmick that is supposed to set off the cotton didn't work?
I see that Hanson Chien replied to your review. Were you able to get any satisfaction from him?
If the flash cotton is wet it never gonna work and you might damage the gimmick, you need to dry the cotton at least one day , and the ignite gimmick needed to be pressed a little bit making a little pressure, if not press it won't work as it should, and never loaded with wet product , only a dry flash cotton.
