I have to compare this with the similar priced Cookie Bite gimmick (Eric Ross) that I bought on
Penguin. I got this product elsewhere because I like to spread my business and patronize multiple
online outlets (ok, it was Vanishing Inc). Cookie Bite is well made, durable, and a joy to own.
Dorito Bite is poorly made out of a cheap paper textile and a super disappointment. I used it with
my wife who wasn't even wearing glasses and she could see a seam with no problems. This product is
useable but really fails under casual scrutiny (and don't even think of handing it even briefly to a
spectator). Because of it's thinness it has a minor angle issue. To their credit, it does come with
a repair kit but the t****d they supply isn't the same color as the gimmick's original material.
Somehow they get around this by supplying stickers to hide the repair thread (I think). The video
says "they are all unique" but I could see that the item I bought was the identical pattern on the
video. That's actually not a deal breaker at all, but sort of typical of the disingenuousness of
this product's advertising. Will I use this? Yes. Quickly and in passing between a couple of my
other food gimmicks. It's sort of obvious that the creators spent more on packaging than on the
product itself.
