I really struggled for a while whether to buy the app - the premise did not strike me that much and
the price is somewhat on the higher end for what it does.
Nicks teaching is well done (and
apart from that it is really easy to do when you are already performing this type of effect with
"real" cards) - which was one of the reasons why I finally decided to give it a try/buy it - I do
not have always a deck of card with me, but I do have a phone wherever I go.
For the price
tag however there is definitely room for improvement and this is the main reason for the rating I
give.
Some ideas for improvement:
There should be a hidden setting where you can:
-
Use / create a different stack
- Start with a certain card of the stack
- Switch from a
"card generator" to a "number generator"
- Adapt the starting screen to use a different
premunition (i.e. import a photo an just have defined a certain area as a "start" button)
Another idea related to the price - when buying it for one OS you should get a voucher which
lets you use the app for both android and iPhone (or to buy the app for the other OS for a
discount).
I am going to revisit this review as the app evolves hopefully in the right
direction ...
