Magic Tricks

I originally ordered two of these decks...one to add to a collection, and one to open up and gaze at.

I was mistaken. They artwork is not only amazingly colorful and vivid, but it provides a fantastic fan. I have now decided to add more flourishes to what I was previously happy doing without. The Supernova back design, being basically borderless for half the length, causes the individual cards to blend together when fanned and gives the illusion of one continuous design.

The courts have an almost mystical appearance, and the pip cards give an almost holographic look instead of a regular solid black or red. The handling also surprised me...cuts, glides, DLs and riffles were flawless. They even faro well.

I had been tempted to buy some Bicycle Nebulas, but the colors seem deadened in comparison, and more prone to wearing off...not these, though! The cards, although supple, appear to be coated with a tougher finish.

If I sound as though I am waxing too poetically about the Supernovas, forgive me. I am simply blown away by them and will be ordering more the next time She Who Must Be Obeyed is looking away.

Ooh, ooh, there are also two matching jokers (tripod mounted telescopes), a blank face, and a double backer in each deck!
