I don't understand the point of this little book. If I had to guess, I'd say it's merely to expose how many old-time classic illusions were performed. It's not as if anyone sitting at home is going to start building the sort of the mirrored cabinets required to pull off these illusions. Does anyone even perform these sorts of effects any more? I felt like I was reading a manuscript from the 1930's.
