This is a book test that is fairly well-designed, and because of the premise, it has some logic to
it. In other words, it doesn't seem odd to be carrying around an address book.
There are a
couple of things to be aware of... you get no pre-made prop with this. You'll have to make it
yourself. All you're getting is a manuscript that is a few pages long, along with an explanation of
the cueing system and how to make a crib sheet, if you choose not to memorize it. I would say it's
not worth the effort to memorize it, because his technique for this is very confusing and poorly
explained, and it results in having to use names that are very odd, in order to fit into his system
for memorization. You're better off using normal names and relying on a crib.
So for this
reason, it's probably a good thing you have to write up the address book yourself, since you'd
probably want to use a different set of names to make the list seem more normal. Let's face it, if
you show someone a list of names that includes item like "Gimbya" and "Hemlata", it's going to draw
all sorts of unnecessary scrutiny that you really don't want.
I can't see myself using
this, but at the very least, it is a workable effect and the effect description seems pretty
accurate.
