The method is so clever and simple to execute, yet will appeal to everyone from Professional to the
casual performer.
Anytime you can use borrowed objects ( bills, coins, rings ) the magic is
elevated. LATEX offer two classics of magic: a penetration and a restoration.
In LATEX, you
borrow a quarter and have them sign/initial it, just as you do with a signed card effect. That same
quarter is dropped into the balloon and inflated. You shake the balloon and they can hear it rattle
inside. And then their signed coin penetrates the balloon.
At first they just see a bit of
silver. Slowly, more of the quarter becomes visible, until they can begin to see their signature.
More and more of the coin slowly passes through the balloon, until it pops free.
The
balloon is unharmed and the hole has healed!
Pop the balloon and perform the second phase:
the restoration. Bits of the popped ballon are gathered and re-inflated. They can keep the balloon
and signed coin as souvenirs!
