First I want to say but this is a great trick this is the best tear and restore that you will find on the market. There is one drawback, how good are you at stealing and ditching? Because you will have to do just that. This is my version of rejoined... I prevent a deck of cards and an empty small brown paper bag along with a small bottle of magic dust AKA glitter. I then perform the trick make my tear and at this point I dropped the Cards into the bag then I sprinkle some magic dust into the bag and begin to shake the bad about.. I then open the bag I pull out the restored card as I quickly crumble up the paper bag I then handout the restored card making sure there is a little bit of glitter on the card and no one will question the crumbled bag. Just be creative and good luck.

I do something similar...but why the bag and real dust? I just put the extra piece in my pocket saying I'm getting some magic dust to help put the card back together. No real dust, just "invisible dust". Or, sometimes I go get my sharpie "magic wand" from my pocket (while ditching the piece) and wave it over the card, magically restoring it.

I would certainly suspect your hand going into a paperbag ...
