WOW! This is a wonderful book for the aspiring magician. Most magic books for children are
truthfully simply rehashed material from the books of the past with the same explanations,
presentations and same effects that have been seen for ages. This book takes a big step away from
that traditional line of writing and at the same time takes a step forward into the digital age.
Ken's book breathes fresh life into the children's magic book. His presentations are interesting and
he gets the reader excited about learning and performing.
As someone who teaches magic to
children, I have used this book to empower, my students. The step by step instructions on how to
build the props and perform the magic will allow students of magic to appreciate it more as they
have had a part in the construction process. If a student needs clarification the online content
helps with that but there are two big things this book does that others do not.
Through out
the book, Ken stresses the importance of performing your tricks for others. Magic only exists when
it's performed in front of an audience and Ken gets this. The big benefit that children who read
this book will receive will be the time spent not learning the tricks but building the tricks with
their grown ups. This book lays out every step so that an adult and a child can bond and spend
quality time together as they build each trick.
Overall, this book is perfect for the
beginner magician or the adult who wants to share their love of magic with a child. The instructions
are clear, the images vibrant and the content is rock solid. Highly Recommended.
