You can play the trick for one audience as well! Just change up the plot a little.
i asked a spectator to play the role of 4 players. Instead of remembering the cards, write down the
chosen cards somewhere, maybe on a piece of paper. And instead of using poker chips, simple ask the spectator 2 questions. Just say:" now you are player 1. Do you see your cards on the table?" " If yes, pls tell me which hand it is." the spectator will refer to his list and give you the answers accordingly. I then wave my hand over the 5 cards and ask the spectator to think of the card for player 1. i say " the face down card is not your card, so there is only a 25% chance i can get this right. but the chances become slimmer as i reveal the cards consecutively for all the '4 players". With that, i reveal the card and repeat process for the other '3 players' played by the same spectator. And with every new revelation, the spectator becomes more and more astonished!
