There is a lot of good stuff on this DVD, but you really have to work to get it. Richard Turner is
probably the best current performer of real world gambling slights, but unfortunately he is not very
good at explaining how to do them. This DVD is a prime example of this. His bottom deals are nearly
invisible, but his explanation of how to accomplish this is very weak. He focuses on what he
considers to be the most important part of the bottom deal and ignores all of the supporting
elements. For example no mention is made of the mechanics for the thumb push off or how to align the
top card back when the bottom is dealt. Is the push off a pivot or straight across? How far should
the to card be moved? Should the deck be tilted backward, kept level, or tilted forward when dealing
bottome? What about borderless vs. bordered cards? In short, no mention is made of basic bottom
dealing fundamentals, only the Richard Turner touches are described. He assumes, I suppose, that you
are coming to his DVD already competent at dealing bottoms, but unsatisfied with your technique.
This is not a DVD for a beginner wanting to learn bottom dealing.
