Review for Delta Dice by Diamond Jim Tayler
I have mixed feelings. The quality of the
product is excellent. Absolutely no complaints there.
The dice themselves are not normal
dice, and an intelligent and/or observant person will certainly pick up on that.
I really
can't go into any more details without exposing it, although there isn't any way you can easily make
these, so you will need to buy these if you want the trick.
I just don't think these dice
will fool anyone.
The number pattern on the dice is not meant to be hidden. This is not a magic trick. These dice were made for gambling or percentage winning. I tell my audience that the dice are misnumbered. That fact should be known from the start. They get to choose what color they want and you beat them. Then you explain exactly how the Delta pattern works and beat them again. I think any bad reviewers need to look at these in a different way.
Each of the bad reviews is based on the perception that the misnumbered dice are obviously not normal. I agree. It's as obvious as one is blue, one is green and one is red. It's like saying the audience can tell they are not white!!!
The method is clever. Typically in math if
A beats B and B beats C, then A beats C too.
But with these A beats B, B beats C and C beats A!!
Then once you explain that Delta pattern so they can try to beat you....
the Delta pattern reverses and you win again.
