I love Brother John Hamman’s Twins, and I'm a big Michael Amman fan. However, this performance is a
let-down. I don't think it was a good choice on Ammar’s part to teach holding the break after a card
is flipped over. As far as I know, this was not in the original handling, and it is not an
improvement. I think he taught this better on his Easy-to-Master series. Further, the improvements
that Bill Malone brought to this routine are so good that I think his version should be the
standard. Ammar’s slightly shaky handling, as seen here, is just underwhelming and not up to the
standard I would expect. Twins is a terrific trick, but learn it from Ammar’s earlier release,
Easy-to-Master Card Vol 3, Brother John Hamman’s book, Secrets of Brother John Hamman, or,
preferably, from Bill Malone, On the Loose DVD vol 2. All available on Penguin.
