This DVD was great in every aspect. I don't primarily do "magic" anymore but I still find myself performing these. I think Theodore Annemann would have loved these ones.

Kicked Right Back is in my opinion the best effect on the DVD. It allows for 2 - 2 card transpositions to take place at the same time in a beautiful and unexpected way. I have performed this numerous times and it's been great every time. However I would use the particular cards for which Gary Jones suggests using. I tried to use a less conspicuous card and it wasn't as convincing.

Hypno-tastic was my second favorite. It is a bit of pseudo-hypnosis but it's a great pretense and Gary Jones shows a way to do it without a dupe, which is also stellar.

Since all of these different transpositions, card to boxes, etc. are done using a dupe, the sleights are minimal and great for beginner magicians to intermediate alike. No knuckle busting moves whatsoever. The teaching on the DVD is stellar too.

This DVD is incredible. I was impressed with the quality and loved the presenting magicians. There was much here to learn and adapt to my own performance and I especially liked "Kicked Right Back", "Aces to Pocket" & "Hypno-Static" (since I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist).
I was amazed at the depth and clarity of explanations and I enjoyed the off-beat humor between the magicians.
There was only one thing I would have liked to have seen and that was I would have perfered to have seen some more effects besides mostly transpositions effects. I think this DVD would have benefited from having some restorations too.
But all-in-all I felt this was a very worth while investment. If you're looking to add a little "extra" punch to your act then Dupes is a great buy. Do keep in mind that this DVD assumes you already have some skills in sleight-of-hand with playing cards. That said, you gotta buy this DVD because it's totally awesome!

There is a lot of great, practical, solid material on this dvd! Again and again I kept finding things that I wanted to use! The only question is, which one should I work on first? :D There wasn't really anything on here that I just thought was useless or filler. It seemed like Chris and Gary have actually used these routines (and continue to) in the real-world. In fact, looking back at my review, I realize that I have a lot of 5/5 ratings, but I truly think those effects DESERVE 5/5's! That testifies to the quality of the dvd.

As I said earlier, if you're an intermediate magician interested in card magic, you should definitely think about getting this dvd. I'm sure happy I have it! :)
