Of course, these are the low cost Chinese Sticks. I knew what I was getting. They are made from
thin walled plastic tube (maybe PVC. They have a nice heavy weight inside. For me, the strings
feel too long, so luckily, that's an easy fix, just pull it to the desired length, knot, cut and
heat the end to melt it from coming untied. The part I didn't like the most is the weight banging
around in the tube during handling. So, I pulled the ends off also while I was tweaking the string.
I also had attached a small magnet to the bottom of the weights, and I sewed some thing material
around the weights to help dampen the sound against the plastic tube. I reassembled everything and
put a new piece of dowel in the end to finish it. They are much smoother and quieter. The shorter
string feels more natural too. Basically it's just longer than the length of the tubes. The
magnets also allow for a unique handling too. Someday, I will invest in a much nicer set, but these
will work well for now. If you are willing to put in a little work, you can make these feel like a
more expensive set.

I realize you can spend a great deal more and get a much better model, but for the money, these
things work well, and they look a heck of a lot better than the ones that look like cheap magic
wands.
The words "Finished wood" in the title are very misleading. It's plastic, with a
wood finish. Very different. Nonetheless, very worth what I paid.

First I was hopeful but the tassels at the end don't have enough weight to them so even just the
slightest movement will cause them to retract. the fake wood paint doesn't look real in the
slightest and is poorly done.

If you are looking for a nice set of sticks, these shoulf work fine. high quality construction. Four
stars because the clunk can be a little loud.

Great value for this price range...no need to spend anymore. Gimmick works very smoothly and
relatively quietly. They're well made to! Can't go wrong with a set of these Chinese sticks.

If you buy something cheap, you get something cheap... Mine would barely slide unless I had them
almost vertical. Also, The tassels are not heavy enough to pull the string through. So I took mine
apart and attempted to sand out the inside with fine grit sandpaper on a dowel rod and silicon but
have had no luck making the inside smooth enough to slide smoothly at approx 45 degrees but no luck
as of yet.
The price and the quality of the product, mantain a good relation.
Appearance gets a 5. The wood handle is laqcuered, the tassels are very nice and visible. They did
not work for me because I work primarily in a hospital. The wood handle made the "gimmick" slide
within the handle very loud. For close up presentation it was obvious something was moving pulling
the string up. In addition, it was too long to fit into my carrying case.
For a stage
performance they would be great!

Savannah, Ga
Sticks are reasonably well made and work well. An old, standard prop but kids love it and even
adults fooled by it.
