I am a beginner/intermediate performer new to the hobby. By "performer" I mean for random family and
friends. That being said, here is my reaction after practicing with these decks for just over a
week:
1. Combining this with other products such as the Mental Die and a spirit bell takes this
to a next level. For example, with the Mental Die, I modify the dinner menu trick with spelling out
the spectator's first name, and I have never had such a strong reaction to anything I have tried
before. With a spirit bell, it is fun to predict a random playing card using the number and suit
cards.
2. The tutorial skips over sleights needed to perform some of the more impressive
routines, but the length of it already probably prohibited doing tutorials on some of the sleights
involved.
3. I wish there was another way to engage and learn than a Facebook group. Not all of
us want to be on Facebook.
4.This is about as robust of a product as I could imagine. I can see
it used for just about any routine done with regular playing cards.
For this price, I can't
imagine a better value for what they put into creating this.

This wonderful tool is the best thing in magic since the invention of playing cards. David and Dan
have developed the idea of using images on quality playing card stock into something that is
intriguing enough even if you didn't do a trick with them. And boy, can you do some amazing things.
The tutorial only scratches the surface.
I can only imagine the amount of work designer
Phill Smith has put into all the excellent artwork involved. He deserves a medal.
I've been
using a mentalism routine for years using images I've drawn on blank card stock. With a slight
modification I can now do it with these cards.
My recommendation is to buy two sets. Just
think of the opportunities that opens up for matching and coincidence effects.
May the
curse of Mary Malone and her nine blind illegitimate children chase whoever decided to make the
video tutorial two hours and forty minutes long so far over the hills of Damnation that the Lord
himself can't find him with a telescope. :-) Please, break the tutorial into chapters.

If you’re like me, you notice a certain segment of any audience have eyes that instantly glaze over
when they realize a card trick is about to take place. SNAPS let’s me apply most any effect from
the world of cards onto the world of mentalism (and btw, generally less people watch my hands
closely in the mentalism world 😁).
There are a lot of effects shared, but this is a utility
device to use in so many situations. I love to have three spectators mix the cards, each cut to a
card and place it front of them, then secretly look at each card (I never touch anything). I
quickly share the easiest prediction for the first spectator’s image they see on their card. For
the second spectator, I vaguely share a description of their correct image. And for the third
spectator, I place other images face-up claiming to match their image...they don’t, but together the
images spell the third spectator’s image — it’s pretty lethal!!!
I left off one ratings star
only because there is a coding principle that could have been thought out slightly better (e.g.
didn’t need “F“ used redundantly). Overall though, this is a remarkable utility device for
mentalism which relies on images, not standard playing cards. Well done guys, thanks!

I saw Dan perform this at Penguin maxx back in October. I have been impatiently waiting for snaps to
become available, and MAN!!!!!! Everything about this project is awesome!! The packaging, the
details in the two different photo(card) cases, the photos, the effects, everything well thought out
and properly executed.
Even if you only use one of the many effects on the download, it’ll
be more than worth the purchase cost!!
Already one of my favorite magic purchases of 2020

At this price point, 2 sets must have been provided.

The SNAPS decks are so well designed and packaged that I'm damn-near awestruck. I can't recall the
last time I had so much fun just playing with a magic product on my own, what's more performing with
it. There are an almost inifinte number of tricks and routines you could develop with SNAPS, and the
ones that Dave and Dan teach are killer.
There has been a little bit of lowkey
disappointment from some buyers that the instant download is 2 and 1/2 hours long with no chapter
breaks. This isn't really an issue. It comes with an index of where everything is in the video with
corresponding timecode. I'm perfectly fine skipping around as needed.

This is a great idea...the gradually dawning reveal at the end of most routines is an amazing thing
to watch as your audience "gets it"
Some of the routines described seem a bit torturous and
a bit similar to "counting card tricks". One gets the idea that some of them were included to pad
out the instructions.
But the majority of routines that aren't like that, are killers.
The card markings are a little too subtle for my nearly-60-year-old eyes and the low light
situations I usually work in, but they are very clever an extend the uses of these cards a long way.
You can also come up with your own routines as these sets of cards are a true utility item
that really do facilitate your imagination to take off.
Highly recommended and a great
price!

I rarely write reviews, but SNAPS deserves to be talked about. The cards are fantastic! They
handle great. The system is easy to learn and there is so much you can do with them. SNAPS brings a
new dimension to card magic. I highly recommend SNAPS to anyone who loves card magic or mental
magic. My only concern is that just like your regular cards, these will wear out with practice and
performance. I REALLY hope that they become available to buy as a refill for when that happens.

These cards are so great! I had a similar idea years ago but I couldn't create cards that handled
like playing cards.
These are fantastic for so many reasons. They really do open up a
nearly infinite number of possibilities.
