With tcg cards making a comeback, this is the perfect way to re-imagine packet effects. Josh’s
wildcard handling is wonderful! 5 stars for an effect/utility decive(s) that will be used for gigs.

Great trick for blowing the minds of anyone who loves trading card type games. Since the cards
provided are random they may or may not be ones that stand out to some players. It is a very clear
and straightforward presentation with only three easy sleights. It is a nice break from traditional
packet tricks with playing cards.
The video instruction is well shot with all the thoughts
behind the moves explained. The presentation could have been a bit more polished. There are some
spots where he has to back up because he got the order of the routine al little off. Another where
he shows you one way and proceeds to do it another before going on.
In the end it's not a
complicated trick and like any Wild Card type effect it's how you tell the story. All in all, I
really like this one..

This is actually a pretty good concept. My son is really into pokemon cards so ive been looking for
a decent effect for a while just to show him with his cards.
The fact that this allows you
to work with any trading cards is pretty great. The cards arent gimmicked just the utility device
that comes with it so you can use your favorite pokemon cards.
I even created a concept
that involves Pokémon evolving in the process.
The gimmick is well made and should last a
long time.
I also like the fact that you have the option to end clean (albeit with a
switch, but not a difficult one).
This is obviously for a very niche audience, but if
someone is very interested in pokemon cards (or magic the gathering, etc... this will be a great
choice.

Uncommon is the most innovative wild card "apparatus" I've seen, and I have quite a collection. The
routine itself is a solid, well-taught wild card effect, but the ability to adapt it to any routine
with most standard collectible game cards (e.g., Pokemon or Magic the Gathering) makes this
outstanding. I bought two for even more routine flexibility, and so I can instantly play to
different audiences. Many thanks and kudos to Josh Burch for this fantastic product!

‘Uncommon,’ by Josh Burch is a wild card routine done with Pokémon cards. The effect comes with
everything you need and is ready to go right out of the box! Traditionally, the ‘wild card’ plot
of being able to take a Joker (the wild card,) that is among an assortment of indifferent cards and
just by rubbing the wild card Joker’s face against the face of an indifferent card. The indifferent
card somehow instantly changes into a matching wild card! This plot has been a favorite of
magicians.
If you’re like me and enjoy performing card tricks, but want to “give your audience a
break” from the standard playing cards. Then, ‘Uncommon’ is ideal.
You get an assortment of
Pokémon cards and specially designed sturdy patten cover sleeves, made, to fit standard Pokémon
cards and protect your cards throughout your many performances. So, if you like. You can swop the
Pokémon cards that come with the set for your favorite ones!
Josh’s routine is direct and
effective.
Each change is surprising right up to the moment that the changed card is handed out
to be examined. In Josh’s routine. The ‘energy’ Pokémon card being the least valuable Pokémon card
represents the ‘uncommon’ wild card. The more valuable assortment of Pokémon cards are displayed.
Josh’s ‘tale’ how he wants to protect his valuable Pokémon cards from his thieving brother by using
one worthless energy card and places it atop of his more valuable Pokémon cards in a hopeless
attempt to fool his brother into thinking that the stack were all worthless Pokémon energy cards.
But relies that wasn’t convincing. So, he found a better way. Both fronts and backs of the cards are
convincingly shown and yet by rubbing the face of the ‘uncommon’ energy wild card against the face
of an indifferent card. The indifferent Pokémon card changes into a worthless Pokémon energy card.
With each change displaying a colorful visual delight!
Then as if by some magical force. All
of the cards visually and instantly changes back to an assortment of valuable Pokémon cards.
In
the very well made video. Josh covers everything that you need to know.
He even gives a live
performance.
‘Uncommon’ is a fun interactive routine that you can carry as your EDC.
I
recommend ‘Uncommon’, by Josh Burch!
It's easy to learn, it's fun, and you can get creative with any kind of table top card game. The
routine that's in the demo seems a bit tamed, but compared to the potential of what you can do with
these...Oh, man...You get the gimmick that's really easy to understand and you get to learn some
card moves that goes along with the routine. It's worth the money you spend on it.
Do not sleep on this! Collectible card games are still very popular and this routine comes with
Pokemon cards, but it can be customized to use Magic, Yugi-oh! or Lorcana, the HOTTEST CCG on the
market to perform a simple effective and relevant version of Wild Card! I love it and it’s now part
of my EDC because it’s a card trick that is not a card trick!
On second thought, don’t get
this. I want it all for myself!
I've done this one for a few kids ages 10 and under and they've really been blown away. Easy to
perform for this beginner.
The tutorial could be better. It looks like it was done in one
take without any editing and contains some mistakes that interfere with the learning. I wish that
the bearded guy had done the tutorial, as his performance in the video used to promote the product
is very smooth and good.
