This book is a MUST to every magician who considers himself as a professional.
I've read HENNING
NELMS / DARIEL FITZKEE and many other theoretical books,
And this one with no doubt takes them
by far.
Read it once and imply with a marker, and then read it again and again!!!
My
entertainment skills grew immensely regard to this book.

So first off, I want to mention that I've read Strong Magic and Designing Miracles by Darwin Ortiz
prior to reading this book. This book is an excellent complement to those two.
Mr. Weber's
book is different in the fact that the focus is on presentation. Much of this is food for thought in
making you a better ENTERTAINER. The assumption is that you have your technique down. I think of
this book as more a collection of thought-provoking essays than a how-to.
Though there are
bits of advice all over (how to critique yourself, what patter mistakes you should avoid, how you
should dress), the most I got out of it was....WHY SHOULD YOUR AUDIENCE CARE? Is it a puzzle, a
trick, or something astonishing?
I'd highly recommend this to those who want to really
become entertaining and not just amuse other magicians.

Maximum Entertainment should be required reading material for any aspiring magician. Very insightful
and thought provoking. If you are serious about becoming a better magician you should definitely pick
up this book. It covers everything from scripting and rehearsing to developing your voice and
language skills. I can not recommend it enough.

Ken Weber does a fantastic job of explaining the proper techniques for presenting magic. Although
this book is geared more toward the stage performer, many of the concepts within this book can be
applied to the stage as well. He discusses topics ranging from scripting and rehearsing, generating
better reactions, your appearance, stage lighting and sound, and dealing with spectators. I have
read many, many books on presentation, and Maximum Entertainment is by far the best one I have ever
read.

This is THE book to have on presentation, entertaining and simply creating a streamlined magic
performance. This book changed the way I look at magic and performing. Ken Weber packs this book
full of valuable insights, suggestions, example and tips. Instead of performing at a magic trick, I
now try to create a story and reason for what I am doing. Suggestions on look, practice,
videotaping, scripting and more are what make this book priceless. The line that sticks out goes
something like this: amateur magicians perform many tricks for the same audience. The professional
magician performs a few tricks for many audiences. I only wish I purchased it sooner. I highly
recommend this book.

There is nothing bad to say about this book. Every line is worth 100 x is weight in gold. There
are no magic tricks to be found in this book but it will make every other effect that you do have a
billion times better. Its what makes good magic, great magic.
Seriously, if you perform
magic, you have to own this book. And that is not a suggestion, its a demand.

His expierence
alone is what sold me on this one. He knows what he is talking about, and is a proven expert at
knowing how to see things that we don't think about.
