The Bruce Bernstein “UNREAL” lessons.

As anyone into the “Psychic Arts” knows, Bruce is one of the most respected thinkers in the world of Mentalism. For decades his cutting edge material has helped inspire and shape the direction of the Art we all love. As anyone who has studied his book UNREAL knows, he has advanced literally ever corner of this miraculous Art-Form.

You may also be aware, chances to learn from and interact with him are few and far between. He rarely attends conventions, which makes this a particularly valuable chance to learn from an acknowledged Master in the field in an intimate setting makes it a must see event.

Because of the limited “seating” for these lessons, there will be plenty of opportunities for Bruce to cover tips and approaches not easily conveyed in print of old-school video. Questions will be welcomed and with the interactive form of these lessons, will be answered in detail.

Here’s a sampling of what Bruce will be covering:

1. Separation Anxiety – perhaps the cleanest and most deceptive version of Out Of This World ever created. Scripted Thoughts – the effect Eugene Burger used when he wanted a big tip when performing close-up. Here you make a spectator into a psychic, and that person doesn’t know how it happened!
2. Eat At Joe’s – The effect that has become the “big finale” in many performances world-wide. Eat At Joe’s is considered by many to be the most commercial effect in Mentalism (or Magic) ever created. What's In A Name - a variation of Eat At Joe’s that’s more suitable for close-up work.
3. Billet Work - Bruce’s world renowned Center Tear, plus a few practical billet switches, and techniques, as well as tips on Cold Reading. The Ritual – about as close to the real thing there is!
4. Psych-Out and Bernstein’s Bet -  2 monster effects with a gambling theme.

Supplies needed for class:

- 1 regular deck of cards
- Paper for billets and Center Tear
- $75 in assorted bills (10 - $1, 5 - $5, 2 -$10, and a 2 - $20) - these can be real or even play money
- A lexicon deck would be nice, but not really needed.

Class Policies

It is mandatory that all students have a working video camera and leave it on for the duration of each class.

These sessions are not to be recorded. Please do not use Zoom’s recording feature, or third-party recording software to store these classes for later viewing.

Registration can be cancelled or changed until 5 days prior to the class start date. If you are purchasing classes as a gift, it is your responsibility to inform us of the recipient’s name during checkout or by emailing support@penguinmagic.com. Late cancellations, transfers, name changes cannot be accommodated after the cancellation/change cutoff date.
