This is a bright yellow, the rope snags easily so I would recommend this if you're going to be cutting it up and replacing on a regular basis. If you want something more reusable through many performances, pay a little more. All in all a good value!

Cons:
(1) came pre-cut in two lengths :-( rather than one full 50' length
(2) several places of fraying on the new rope along its length
(3) several places where the dye has not quite reached the rope and is left with white areas
(4) not the typical hollow design

Pros:
(1) the yellow colour is yellow (at least on mine)
(2) despite its failings, it can be used for many rope effects. I probably will not buy this brand again, however.

The rope has an odd odor like a hot factory in India might. Maybe it is the dye I am smelling. There just is some sort of industrial smell to this rope that is not pleasing.

What a disappointing color. I assumed it would lean towards a yellow with an orange tint. It is an light rusty orange color. It is not an even close to yellow and should not be listed as such. YUCK! I should have looked at the photo better.
The dye job as some blotchy lighter spots. To my surprise the dye did not bleed off. Only in hot water did a little come off when the rope was squeezed.

I was disappointed this is not a rope you can core. It is soft but braided with many fine strands so there is no hollow middle if you do effects that require or to make to make it easier to cut.

It might have gotten 1 star but they do give you instructions for 10 rope tricks. I am not sure if a beginner will be able to learn from the basic instructions but it was nice they added something. The rope is soft so that is something. maybe I would rate the other colors or white higher but I was expecting hollow as most magicians rope have some sort of core.

This is top quality rope for making your own tricks. Buy a good dvd or book to give you basics on rope presentations. I have seen top notch pros wow people witha simple rope.
