Unfortunately, I purchased this to use with a jumbo toonie that was purchased as a 3 inch coin, but
it's actually a few mm bigger than 3 inches.
I also tried with a jumbo 3 inch loonie, but
again the coin actually measure a few mm bigger than 3 inches.
The quality & packaging are
great & if your coin will fit, I think you'll like it.
I know the copy does say it fits up
to 3 inch coins, but again, your 3 inch coin you already have, may actually be a few mm bigger &
won't work.
It's too bad, as I was really looking forward to using this.

I don't know what they were thinking when they designed this. I have 8 jumbo coins in different
denominations that I bought from various magic dealers. NONE of them fit. I can't believe that
someone would make this, sell it in the United States, and not test it with US jumbo coins. The
annoying part, all the coins are a tiny big larger...but too much to sand off without damaging the
coin.

This is so much fun to play with! It really is a James Bond-esque device. All my jumbo coins are a
shade under 3 inches, so I've had no problems placing any one of them into the holder. The holder is
pleasantly lightweight. It fits securely onto a belt or waistband, and easily goes on and off, i.e.
the clip is secure without being so tight that you have to pry it off your pants. It works as it's
supposed to: the coin is very well secured and the release mechanism is reliable.
I docked
it one star because it's loud. Not as in loud loud, but at the moment of truth there's a noticeably
audible click. If you're on stage performing a manipulate routine to music - not a problem. But if
you're doing walkaround, performing a Roth-style one coin routine with a jumbo coin finish, make
sure there's enough background noise. Just imagine, "The coin disappears from here, and reappears
over here..." CLICK!
Bottom line: I'd unreservedly recommend this for those do jumbo coin
work.
My 3" jumbo Half Dollar, that I purchased at Penguin, is slightly too large to fit into the Hanson
Chien Jumbo Coin Dropper. I guess I'm going to have to file down my jumbo coin.
