Dimple Maker Press by Steve Skindell
What is it?
It is a professional utility device that allows you to press One to Six 2 milimeter dimples in a poker size playing card.
The device is very easy to use.
It is manufactured with carbon fiber and should last a very long time.
Dimples can be placed in the upper and lower right and left corners of a playing card as well as on the left and right centers of the sides of a playing card.
Dimples are created by pressing downward with your thumb(s) or finger(s) on the card where the 2mm protruding circles are located (they are about the size of a small half sphere or bb).
For dealing cards, the face of the playing card should be upward and the upper left and lower right dimples should be created.
Dimples can protrude downward or upward based on the orientation of the playing card.
You also can have upward AND downward dimples if you change the orientation of the card being faced (make some dimples) and the put the playing card faced down (and make some dimples).
You can also use Dimple Maker to press dimples into billets or business cards.
Idea 1:
Press dimples in half the deck (all the black cards) -- this only takes a few minutes to do.
Do this on all the upper left and lower right corners of the card.
The orientation of the playing card should be facing upward.
Have the spectator shuffle the cards.
Act like you are able to determine if a card is red or black by the weight of the in on the card. Move your hand up and down as though you are trying to determine the weight. Feel if there is a dimple in the upper right corner of the card.
Put all the black cards in one pile and all the red cards in another pile.
Using your psychic abilities you can even do this blind folded!
Idea 2:
Press 4 or 6 dimples on a keycard. Orientation of the playing card should be face up when dimpled.
