In February 2024, Gwilym Bugeja was invited to perform at the Blackpool Magic Convention during the Bear Pit Act, which is one of the most challenging environments to perform in.

After his performance, many magicians came up to him asking about how he prepared and what are good things to keep in mind when performing in front of magicians.

Gwilym decided to compile a video sharing all of his thoughts about the subject. Gwilym also interviews Steve Faulkner, Matt Clewley, Darren Robinson & Oliver Bell about their experience performing during the Bear Pit.

Thanks for the free download. This is hard to hear, not just the poor Audio, but Gwilym has a strong accent. I am a bit surprised that his act features so much talking, but I'm sure in his home country this is not a problem. It's great the PM wants to give free downloads, but I would not want to pay for this.

After seeing Gwilym and the others all perform at Blackpool, having this download to dive into how they approached the event and constructed their acts was really fascinating. Hopefully Gwilym makes more of these in the future for other events!

Gwilym Bugeja is a great presenter and the information shared in this video is valuable.

While the idea of the video is to share information on performing magic for magicians, much of the advice given applies to any performance. Eg being heard, choosing visual magic and adapting to challenging conditions.
