I bought these just to see how they are as I liked the new color choices but honestly they are not real good.

The “bounce ball” is not round at all so when it is bounced it is totally unpredictable as to which direction it will go as it travels up from the bounce.

The “ no bounce” ball does have a pretty high bounce when tossed not as much as the bounces one but more than the original balls from the 90’s

Unfortunately due to these factors they are pretty much unusable unless you buy them by the case because you will lose the bouncy one eventually.

I was so excited when I saw these released, especially the different color options. I chose the yellow. The color looks great, the balls are very well made, BUT...

The "no bounce" ball does not totally "die" when it hits the solid surface, it bounces about an inch and a half to two inches off the ground/surface (I tried wood, cement, stage, carpet, glass table, etc). You may not have the original balls Daryl released but the "no bounce" ball in his original set stops immediately and much better with a very very low "re-bounce", maybe a quarter of an inch.

I'm happy I saved my original black ball set I got 20 years ago and just painted them a brighter color.

Unfortunately I won't be able to use these newly released balls because the originals work better.

I really hope they can find a way to make the new "no bounce" more no bounce in the future.
