First let me tell you that I am a professional magician, and I being doing magic for about 10 years.
Pros:
The DVD is well explained and it has a friendly menu with a bonus section.
The glass is well made and it does sound good when coins fall ion it (still glass if you drop it
you will break it, so handle with care)
The glass is usable for other routines, for example I
use it to appear the big pea on the 3 shell game.
This is definitely a routine I will be
using in my act!
Cons:
The title says: "Victorian coins and glass"
Well
there is only the glass, when I bougth this I was expecting the coins also. Be aware that you are
getting only the glass and the routine.
You will need a coin shell, so you may want to buy
one. (This is why I gave 3 stars, I hate misleading commercials given that I have no Victorian coins
nor shell in the package, luckily for my I already had a half dollar shell)
Also, I will
say this is not for beginner coin magician, make sure you know
Classic palming
Finger
palming
Bobo switch
And basic coin handling
In general I will recommend this
product, this routine its a real world working materially and I agree with other comments that the
routine alone is well worth your money!....
Enjoy!

As noted in other reviews, you're buying a very nice old fashioned bar glass and a DVD with
performance and explanations of the basic routine, augmented with a couple bonus effects and some
commentary on audience management. The routine is well performed and he explains the workings
sufficiently, although he "slights" the description and methodology of the "sleights." If you're a
beginner, you'll need some basic coin handling knowledge from one of the useful sources (e.g.,
Bobo's or any of Roth's books). And the advertised, "the glass does all of the work" comment isn't
accurate; you need to execute the basic sleights well and smoothly. If you are a beginner, expect
to spend several months with the coins to gain the ability to entertain effectively. The sleights
are basic, they're not knuckle-busters, but you'll need to put in the work -- anything worth doing
requires adequate preparation. When it has all been said and done, you're performing a basic
coins-across routine with an added gimmick. You could do this just as well with a simple paper
Dixie cup but it would lack the elegance and wouldn't allow the aural clinking of metal on glass.
You can decide if this is really worth $30. It's a nice routine but I believe it has been
over-hyped. And if you try this on a stage (instead of a 300-student classroom setting), I think
you might be disappointed by the reaction. All of his demonstrations are in the close-up venue,
where I believe this has the most impact. Sorry to be so long winded, but I wanted to be thorough
with my opinion.

Kainoa just lectured for our magic club and the Victorian coins and glass routine was one of the
highlights! Every moment is powerful and magical for the spectators! This routine is worth much more
than $30.00 and what you can do with the glass is ingenious! I highly recommend this routine for the
serious coin workers, although it's actually achievable for the average coin guy as well. Everything
is supplied which is a plus! Get this and prepare to slay your audience with a wonderful coin
routine!

This glass only adds to the deceptiveness of a good coin routine. It allows the freedom to "fairly"
display glass and coins, yet is a secret weapon of the routine. It is not a beginner effect, and
does require use of your own coins and gimmick. It is also unbreakable.

The glass is a must have for real coin workers. Search all you want, you probably won't find it.
Whether you use his routine or not, the glass is useful for any coins across or coins through the
table. Plus, the construction of the glass makes it very easy to hide at least 4 coins and
seemingly have empty hands. So it enables a coin product as well.
This is more for
intermediate coin folks, however a very diligent beginner could work this out. It will just take
time. I would agree with others that said you might want this after you have spent some time with
Bobo's.
That said, it is a great routine, well constructed and the glass does help scale
up your performance.
If you have to work over a coin trick just dedicate your time on this one and you dont need anything
else.
Not for total beginner but really Kainoa is a high-class teacher.

Wow, what a nice routine this is, it makes it possible for someone like me to be able to do a no
table coins across. Everything is wonderful about the prop, dvd and especially the lovely
participant. Wow, she did great. It all was great(but could have used some alternatives easier
moves/ different types of handlings). Well worth the price and some.
