The Vox Box is a great trick, and never fails to amaze spectators. The gimmick is done very well,
and the utility itself is clever. You would have to know some sleight of hand for this trick, but
besides that, it is pretty easy. I think the gimmick is a little hard when you get the box, but when
you practice, it will began to get a little worn, and work even better.
Overall Trick: B+
Overall Spectator "Amazement": A-
P.S. - This trick is AMAZING for the price. Any level
magician can do this trick (like always, with some practice).

The Vox Box is a really cool way to vanish an object and make it reappear inside the box. It's nice
because you can show that the box is empty first. There are no duplicates used here. You can borrow
a quarter, have it signed and it appears inside of the box. On the downside, the box can't be
examined but then again, it's just a box. Most people won't be interested in checking it out
anyways.
This isn't a bad prop but I think you should consider whether you need it or not before you buy it
because the routines which come with it aren't at that high a standard. If you have routines where
you need to make it seem as if something has apppeared inside your cardbox then certainly go ahead
and buy this but otherwise I think you can afford to pass this one by.
This is a really neat utility! I would definitely suggest it for use in your routine if you want to
make something vanish and reappear! It's just that simple!
The idea behind the Vox Box is really quite ingenious, and you can use the special gimmicked card
case in numerous different routines, yet still have an amazing climax and finish to whatever routine
you decide to use this with. Also if used correctly, it's great to even hand out the card case at
the end for the spectator to look at, though most of the time I've never been asked if they could
look at it.
The only reason that I gave this illusion 4 stars out of 5, is because it can
be fickle at times to get the Vox Box set and completed. Though it's not tough to get around that
part, and really isn't that big of a deal, but it's still there.
Other than that, for the
price and how many different applications you can use this magic illusion for, is definitely worth
purchasing and adding to your collection.
Nobody surprisingly seems to buy this item, well I did. It is a bicycle card case that is made of
plastic to last longer. Well-crafted work, except maybe that the print is a tiny little bit blurry
and the red not as bright as on a regular card case. So this one might not qualify to fool magicians
or people who use bikes a lot. BUT, I still love it. Real easy to use and you can hand out the vox
box and they can even shake it and look inside and under normal circumstances you won't get cought.
Seems relieable to me. You could also put cards inside and use it as a real card-case.
I
like the voxbox because I like cards, I guess, I would probably even prefer this over the
"competitor" (the rattle box) but that seems to be just me. Handling is real easy and there is I
think 4 routines that come with it. So you can either have the effect that you put something inside
and than it disappears out of the case. Or, to make something appear inside. Of course you can
COMBINE the rattle box and the vox box and have a coin or ring travel from one seemingly into the
other. And back. Quite a luxury to buy both, but you can mess around a little bit longer, otherwise
the routine is over quite quickly. Also, people do catch on after a while, so don't overdo it.
I like this gimmick in that it looks wonderfully innocent.....that's its real strength......
Indeed...there is no dissappointment with how it works...you get at least what you pay for if
not more......except I found the actual 'vox' to be somewhat fussy....Personally, as a
dissappearing/re-appearing device I like the rattle box a lot more though I am going to continue to
work on the vox box and see if I can develope a better comfort with it....In all a pretty good
trick.
I have not actualy purchased a vox box, but from my understanding in the reviews, it sounds like you
need that special box in order to do it. i have an effect like this by Jay Sankey called Pandoras
bbox, i use it all the time, i think its fantastic, and the best part is you can install it into ANY
card case. i reccomend you check that out too.
