I really think that Phoenix cards are the best cards for magic on the market nowadays. Phoenix cards
have a familiar face (bicycle) and have 4 beautiful and unsuspected aces (larger center pips),
perfect for any ace packet trick. The back design is beautiful, but at the same time, very simple,
making this deck a very "common" looking one. It also has a very nice oneway marking design, that i
started to use recently. (I didn't know it had!!!)
The only con that i could find is that the
producers (card-shark) don't have those more complicated gaffs (something like presto printo or pip
streak). But they still have the whole common gaffs (3-card monte, marked deck, double-face, blank
face, blank back, etc.) and with the new PRISM deck by Joshua Jay (made with Phoenix Cards), i don't
think that i will be needing any other gaff anytime soon.
Phoenix deck is my top choice if you
want to perform any kind of card magic. Those cards are really going to rule the world!

After reading the posted reviews I thought I found the next "Gold Seal" deck Richard Turner sold on
his website. However, when my package arrived I opened a pack and discovered these are nothing close
to the 5-Star reviews past posters have praised.
I immediately learned these decks are not
cut in the traditional fashion and thus they do not faro easily. In fact, the halves do not weave
and when pressed together, the cards act as if they are stuck together.
I ordered these
decks from another Magic seller's site and expressed my concern the decks were not as advertised. I
received a quick reply and was informed Phoenix recently reprinted their decks.
I ordered
two decks from Penquin hoping they had a better batch; however, these decks are of the same lack of
quality than the decks reviewed on this site. The almost $6.00 cost per deck is definitely not worth
it.
If you're considering this particular deck, know as of this writing (July 1, 2023) you
will probably not receive the deck of cards the other 5-star posters are praising.

For roughly the same price, phoenix decks are quality all around. The pips are the same for the most
part with the exception of some of the edges. They stand up to the test of time and are great all
around for magic, cardistry, and card games. I live in a fairly humid city so one problem I have a
lot is click bends in some of my decks. I have yet to get a deck press to solve that but since I
started using phoenix, I've never experienced a clicking phoenix deck.

Many people are not aware, but this deck have a one way back design (and on the face too) that will
enable you to do many things if you know how to use it. These cards spreads better than the Bicycle
Professional Cut in my opinion. This will be my go to deck now. The design and craft here is very
impressive.

The deck is great. Love it. Just wish they didn't go out of stock so quickly. I can understand why
they do. Penguin, please get some more.

This deck is awesome. Really loving it. Unfortunately Penguin seems to run out of them fairly
quickly. I'd love if they could keep a steady supply.

I saw the videos to these cards on the website with Dan Harlan and the creator of the Phoenix deck.
After talking about some of the features of this deck I had to buy them. So I got a Dozen. I
absolutely love them and I loved the price I got them for here on Penguinmagic.com. They are a
beautiful deck of cards and I love the larger pip on the Aces. I also love the fact that you have a
one way deck and I didn't even know it. That is the feature I love and use to find cards and it is
undetectable to laypeople. I highly recommend this deck.

I definitely have to give this deck 5 stars because it came in perfect condition and honestly has
handled amazingly. If you want cards, buy them here.

My cards are smooth and faro easily out of the box. They are a tad slippery, so they flourish well
and are smooth in slides. Some DL execution is a touch more difficult, but after a week or two of
heavy use I feel them breaking in. Likely a different story after another 2 weeks.

looks standard but it has special aces and has a very subtle one way back
