While the "make a blister on your finger" trick may be a little old, this effect puts a new twist in
it. The spectator chooses a card, you bring out a lighter and proceed to light it up, "grab" the
flame, and then show your fingertips to show them their chosen card.
The nice thing about
this trick is that you can repeat it four times with different results. In truth, if the setup is
right you can actually switch around the pips to get more combinations, but that will require a
little more wiggle room when the spectator isn't watching you closely.
The gimmick is very
well made and fits reasonably well in your pocket. You're better off putting this in your jacket
pocket as it gives you more room to "do the magic", but if you wear loose pants you can make it work
in your pants pocket as well. There is something special about the gimmick that allows you to pick
the right card to blister simply by touch.
You need to be able to force a card, and above
everything else you need to be able to sell what you're doing. Performance is key here. You're
trying to push some supernatural event, so this needs to be a bit mysterious.
For the
price, this is a nice effect that offers something different than the usual card trick.

This trick is not worth it, It is not practical and to easily figured out. The setup takes way too
long and is tough to master. What is with all of these positive reviews, its a good effect but not
good enough for the price. I was let down on this one.

Too expensive for this gimmick. Also, it doesn't teach you how to force a card and the number that
appears on my finger is not clear.

Hi! This is your official PenguinMagic reviewer, B_Magic.
I used to perform Pyro
Perception and actually liked it for the most part. Then several things happened that downgraded
this effect to two stars:
1. The blisters created with this were hit and miss for me. It
became frustrating at times to perform this only for audiences to have to really inspect my fingers
like crazy to decipher what they showed. I think different skin types (elasticity of the hands)
yield different results with this. Sometimes it worked well, other times not so well.
2.
Tim Trono's "Branded" came out and was a much better and practical way of doing the effect. Unlike
Pyro Perception, Branded worked for me everytime and was much easier and made more sense from a
performance perspective. **You can buy BRANDED here at Penguin**
3. After performing
Branded for a long time, the entire blister-illusion effect was revealed by the masked magician on
television, and from my end, a lot of people saw it, so even Branded got retired.
Thats a
triple-whammy of bad news for Pyro Perception for me. If you want this effect, I would highly
recommend Branded over this method. It's easier, works better, and is much more practical.

This is hands down the best trick I have or perform. I had read the reviews & heard some of the
hype but I tend to be skeptical about most of that type of stuff. I can't even begin to explain the
reactions I get with this. People are blown away!!! When I first got it, I looked at it & was
like...ok..that's cool...not bad. But when you actually perform it for folks, they're absolutely
destroyed. Perfect final effect for street or even restaurant. Or it's just an amazing one timer
whenever you just feeling like doing something off the cuff. Absolutely incredible!!! I love the
fact that it's not hokey or contrived at all. I like street tricks best (no unfamiliar magical
apparatus [linking rings/cups & balls/spongeballs] to tip people that they're about to be magiced) &
this is the best I've seen!

If you are known for carrying a lighter around all the time this is a great trick for you. Borrow a
deck of cards, and borrow a lighter and you're ready to go. Have your spectator take a card and show
it around. They can shuffle the deck, and they can hold the deck. You don't even need it back.
Borrow a lighter and wave your finger over it and watch the faces of your spectator change. From my
experience, this is one of those effects that gets big reactions. I use it in my routine and it's
never failed. Add to Cart now.
This is an extremly powerful gimmick that packs small and WILL last a lifetime. Other than the
force, the trick is basically self working and your audience will flip when you use the match to
burn their card into your fingers. ideal for resteraunt and walk around..add to cart
I work at the Georgia Ren Fair as a street performer and I just starting using it. The crowd loves
it and it is an amazing effect!
I'm a complete beginner when it comes to magic, and I was able to do it easily the first time I used
it. Buy it
vary vary good trick i always get great reactions the only reason i gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is
because i believe nothing is perfect this come pretty close though
