I enjoyed the presentation and the routines and tips are great. Unfortunately the focus of it was
showing the superiority of his produced steel blindfold. I would have rated it higher if he had
showed more blindfold usage for the rest of us who don't own his product. Still worth the price for
the routines but it felt like an infomercial.

I use two types of blindfolds in some of my routines. Unfortunately, while they get a brief mention
in this lecture, there is little in the way of expanding on my current use of them. It was
interesting to know how Osterlind's blindfold works. It is by far the most spectator proof on the
market and there are some useful tips here but these take up very little of the lecture. Instead you
get a lot about how he came up with the concept and design for his blindfold. I wasn't particularly
interested in this and it gave the lecture a feel that it was an advert for the gimmick rather than
a lecture on techniques and routines. Osterlind does disclose a method for an impromptu blindfold
that can be used without buying anything which I may use if the occasion permits. I will also
utilise the pointing finger part of his routine and possibly find some plasters to put over my eyes
as well. Overall, I was hoping for more ideas to add to my routine.

I actually own Richard's Stainless Steel Blindfold as demonstrated here and can personally vouch for
it. I tested it on someone who knew how a standard blindfold can be used and had that person inspect
the steel blindfold before and after I put it on and as close as they wanted when it was on my face.
Richard's blindfold has not been challenged since.
As in the case in most of Richard's videos,
he provides alternatives to the quality props he has on the market. I find that classy.
Did I
mention he's the greatest teacher in the field of mentalism?

Then why a 4 Star rather than a 5 Star?
I am a big Osterlind fan but I think he could have
covered his Versatile Blind fold in a bit more detail.
Yes, as one comment said, it appears he
is pushing the blindfolds he sells, but the presentation and tips really apply to any blindfold you
buy, make, or use.
The presentation shown is a solid (no pun intended) blindfold routine that is
worth the download.
Richard Osterlind is truly a master. Especially he is a master of teaching mentalism. I started with
his materials and come back regularly to them.
Finally I was able to get his long time not
available Stainless Steel Blindfold and I need to say -I LOVE IT. Very well made, easy to use
especially when you listen/read what Richard Osterlind's explains.
Unfortunately I have to
take one star for a general experience with Penguin. There was a problem with customs in Germany. I
have written emails, called Penguin to talk about that... no answer... NOTHING!
The package did
not arrive in 3 days (extra paid for express delivery) but 2 weeks (as slow as snail mail to
Germany).
The product is fantastic but service... this time NON EXISTENT.
If you live
in Germany - DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON FASTER SHIPPING. Your package may get stuck and you may
experience problems with contacting Penguinmagic.
But overall - top quality products.
