Okay, I really enjoy the concept, the execution and the teaching of this trick. Ken does a great
job on the download.
There's a big wow factor, etc. It's everything as advertised.
Except, if you want to do the full trick (part 2), you have to buy about $20 worth of (something
I won't reveal here), which means the trick really costs double what you initially pay for it.
And, since it's a download, and not a DVD, there really is no production cost, so you're paying
$20 for the idea/training. That's all well and good, except for having to buy your own supplies to
really do the trick.
At the very least, it would be nice if the website checkout let's you
know and offers to sell you what you'll need to buy.
Doesn't matter, I still love this
trick.

Spoiler Alert (hopefully not): I expect the Penguin Overlords will edit this as needed if I am
tipping too much...
What you need: Several decks of cards to construct the effect and two
jacket pockets to perform it.
What you get: Everything is as promised. It's "like" a
tossed out deck except the audience gets to handle cards multiple times. That includes shuffling an
entire deck after which you reveal the cards they are looking at without any gimmickry. (That's a
word... who knew?)
Also unlike many tossed out decks, you can reveal as many as 12 thought
of cards! (If you watch the video to the end you learn how to reveal 52 of them. That's a show I
would be happy to miss.)
Oh yeah, there's some memory work involved too. The good
news is, it's not *that* onerous. Better still, the download comes with a version that's as easy to
learn as stubbing your toe.
Finally, in addition to the effect and beyond the layered
method, is a detailed description of the psychology that really pulls this trick together.

I was personally looking forward to learning this effect. Once purchased, I realized that the
routine included all ideas in which I had already know- but that is ok!!! The method is very simple
and almost completely self working!! A++++. This routine can play big for close-up just as well as
for stage. I really liked the full performance in which was included in the download, as well as the
explanation portion. The download also includes a PDF with helpful information and other ideas!!
The only reason in which i give it 4 stars is due to the fact that you must buy other
"props" in which may run a bit costly. (depending on how committed you are to the effect)
Overall, great job for both Ken and Penguin--- really enjoying the material!!!!!!!!

This is wonderful! I bought this on a whim and found the method to be highly practical. In the
video, Ken Dyne states that he created the effect one morning and put it straight into his act that
night. Likewise, I watched the video last evening and popped it straight into a feature position in
a comedy club performance tonight. It killed. Full stop. Once you have mastered the work, you can
just focus on the performance and take the room on a really unsettling ride.
Be aware that
this does not mean that the work is so simple that just anyone will be able to do it straight away.
There is effort involved. It just so happens that I had already done the lion's share of the
preparation previously and this effect was like slipping on a jacket off the rack and having it fit
like a tailored suit for me. I did make a couple of small but effective adjustments that I will be
happy to share in the Discussion Section. I am looking forward to performing this for a very long
time!
Thank you for sharing Hijacked, Ken Dyne!

We all know tossed out style routines are primarily about presentation, but for me the first phase
of this was too easy to workout. And, given it was the first phase it weakened the effect of
everything after.
If you want an alternate tossed out setup/method then this is good.

I love this, A few people have complained about having to purchase items to do this routine, however
even when you buy a great book, since when do you not have to purchase items to use in your
routines. In this particular case the items are simply decks of cards not very expensive.
Considering the power of this routine, it's well worth it. Ken's work is refreshing, modern,
practical and highly entertaining. This routine is well worth your study, it does require you
learning a stack Ken recommends Osterlinds stack, which is one of the best out there. This routine
is a great reason to learn about the stack, if you don't know it already.
With a memorized
stack you can do miracles! Hijacked is indeed impressive.

Brilliant work! Just used this in my show last Saturday. It fried everyone.

I gave this 4 stars out of 5 because I'm put off when I learn that I have to spend more money in
order to complete the necessary props. Yes, many magicians will have extra (whatever) lying about
but many others will not, resulting in having to shop further. Aside from that, the effect is good
and the video and instructions are clear and thorough. It's a two part trick where in order to
accomplish the second part, the sleight needed, seems to require wearing a jacket of some sort or at
least something with roomy, accessible side pockets. All in all a very good trick with audience
participation.

Ok, every thing is good about this; but most of all it is great fun to perform. You have so many
little things you can change or adapt and you realy get many people involved. I am not a pro and I
just enjoyed doing this a lot. Once every thing is "in place" you can concentrate 100% on your
audience and interact. So what more do you need to give it a 5 star?

The concept is clever, and I will use this. In the video, however, there is a small discrepancy.
