Joker effects have always appealed to me. Based on their character, Joker effects seem to have more
action, surprises, and humor. This effect is no different. I think it's a cute, surprising trick
where the spectators actual free choice, becomes the joker. The 'sin' is hidden, and it's a
believable little illusion. The additional punchline is also cute-with the Joker having left the
deck, and travelled to the card box. The video itself is clear-so far as the 'how to'. The sleights
involved take practice-and will have relevance elsewhere. I did come up with a simpler, more direct
and less risky way of doing the effect-using but one sleight-and easily maintaining the plot. The
gaff needed is easy to make, and perfectly deceptive. Effects using such a gaff are quite findable
in the old card books; and as cute as this effect is, 3 0r 4 more bucks can get one of those books,
which deal with multiple gaff principals, and many many plots and ideas.
