This is not a good price at all for what you get. The instruction is awful. For this price you can
buy way better stuff. Do not buy this.

The Platt father/son duo have been on my radar since Sugar Rush which continues to get some of my
best reactions on a regular basis. Well 'Sharpie Quickie' is another home run! After watching the
trailer I was almost certain I knew of the method but to my surprise was I so wrong,... but wrong in
such a good way. Listen to these words carefully: you go & borrow the specatator's Sharpie, then
snap the clip off the exact cap of THEIR Sharpie & can choose to restore & do it again or just
simply hand it back. Without giving away too much I'll just say that you don't need to perform a
switch. The gimmick is genius & not only provides the spectator with a strong visual but also a
strong audible illusion as well. Brian walks you through 26 mins of instruction on how to break &
restore the clip to the cap (4 different variations on restoration). I couldn't be happier with this
product & I've had so much fun performing this, even practicing in the mirror with certain
variations over & over makes me smile. This is so practical, so much fun & the gimmick takes up
almost no space in your pocket. I've snap & restored with the gimmick going on nearly a few hundred
times & it's still feels & sounds great! I rarely write reviews & normally am lurking about but
this is so good that I hope you'll support the Platt family so they can continue to give us great
magic we can all use & appreciate. My highest recommendation possible!!!

is so expensive for what you are going to buy...

I have purchased quite a few magic props in the last couple of months. I love this thing. It's so
simple but perfect and it takes up no pocket space. I think there was a lot of useful tips in the
tutorial and the credits at the end made me a little emotional. I would definitely consider it a
worthwhile purchase.
I love this trick because I can borrow someone's Sharpie, break it, fix it, and give it back to
them. This is definitely a favorite of mine.
Nice little gimmick you can use anywhere. You can always carry it around.
This is a clever little idea for a nice little magic moment that ends with you clean and the sharpie
in your participant's hands. I use it as the lead-in to my version of Alex Pandrea's wonderful
TR.AP trick.
Nothing packs smaller than this, and it plays exactly as big as it needs to.
One problem: The actual finish of the gimmick could emulate a sharpie clip better. It has the wrong
texture, and the shape is pretty dissimilar to the genuine article. I don't feel comfortable
performing it up close and slowly in broad daylight. You kind of have to speed through the trick,
which detracts from the impact.
$23 is pretty steep for what you get, but I'm happy to have
this in my set.
Right up there with Platt Magic's Sugar Rush, which for me is a real worker. Made my wife smile.
Quick is right, but strong magic.

Love this. Performed this in the middle of a magic set as well as a stand alone effect. Both got
great reactions. I borrowed a sharpie from spectators at local coffee shop and at work....fried
them. Borrow the sharpie whenever possible for best reactions.Takes some practice to get down.Angles
are decent. Well made. A must for any magician as its so unexpected. Have fun.

Easy to do, perfectly working. The only qualm I could possibly have is that it needs be executed by
me.
And here I go. I will have this issue for now and ever, deciding how to end. But don't
let that deter you. After all you DON'T need us telling you what to do :-)...
