Telepad

Effect

The magician invites three audience members to record three totally random numbers in a notepad. The pad is then given to a forth spectator who adds up the column of numbers and reaches a grand total. As if by magic, this total sum not only matches the magician’s prediction but is ultimately found sealed in an envelope that has been in the possession of a fifth spectator the entire time. This spectator opens the sealed envelope and reveals the prediction that is written on the back of the magician’s business card. Once the effect begins, the magician touches neither the notepad nor the sealed envelope again!

What can be more fair?

No carbon, slates, slides, shiners, special markers, magnets, threads, stooges, pad switches. No multiple predictions. The sealed envelope is the only one and contains the only prediction! Packs small, plays big! Diabolically simple!
