Look down at your wrist and smile... The Masters Time Machine is Finally Here.

The piece is beautiful. The effect is unforgettable.

Your watch is set to the proper time. It ticks away like normal as you tell your spectators you're going to make a prediction.

Settling on your prediction, you hold your watch by the very end of the band. The back of the watch faces your spectators as the watch dangles innocently, completely out in the open.

The predicted watch time cannot possibly be tampered with or readjusted.

One of your spectators imagines any time of the day, even to the exact minute. The spectator announces her freely chosen time.

You smile... that's interesting...

You look deep into your spectator's eyes and reveal an exact match to her announced time.

This trick is just great! I love the look and feel of the watch and enjoy the performances immensely. No one has ever caught on (including my engineering buddies). I can't recommend this trick for beginners as a decent amount of patter is always involved with it. It's not a difficult trick in itself, but to pull it off well is another matter. I rarely use this trick as a mentalism effect and use it more as a psychokinesis effect where I "magically" move the hands (out of view of course) without ever touching the dial! Patter is easier than saying I've "preset" the watch and then having to wait a bit...

The quality's in the watch and not in the trick Report this review

This is a beautiful watch. I wear it as my everyday watch and it looks great. A few of my friends actually have similar watches, so no one ever gets suspicious that I'm wearing anything but a normal watch.

But as for the trick...

Yes, I've heard a lot about "the trick is only as good as the performer" but the instructions leave you without any direction as to where the trick should go.

Secondly, in some instances, you need to stall for over a minute. That's a long time! I like doing things that look like real magic - if I already predicted the time, why can't I just turn the watch around and show it as soon as the time is declared?

Finally, the watch is not all that practical. You need to change the time back to the standard time every time you use it and there is no stem to change the time back! And one shouldn't forget the fact that reseting the watch in front of the spectator will blow the effect.

Still, the watch is a wonderful looking piece of ingenious engineering, and the effect cannot be discredited for a lack of ingenuity. However, the need to stall in awkward places in the routine makes the trick nearly impractical for use. Also, the investment of over a hundred dollars in one trick is steep, especially in light of this criticism (although the price is understandable for a watch made as it is).

I have the regular Time Machine and it is pretty nice - I'd say the Masters watch is better quality, but I still use my old one. The reason for this is that the original was a somewhat androgenous design. The Masters is very masculine. I don't consider myself a girly-girl, but the audience may have questions about the trick if I am wearing a watch that doesn't seem right. Anyhow, it is a very good trick, very easy, just learn to speak slowly and clearly in your whole routine and it won't seem unnatural during this one.

I bought this time machine trick a few years back and paid about twice what it is now. I have used this ever since and it is a strong piece of magic. The concept is easy and operation is very good. With this on your wriste you will be ready to perform any time. Recommended to all.

The Master's magic, not the Watch's Report this review

Sometimes, it takes a while for it to work, and this lag must be filled with distracting patter. "How's your day?"... "Nice jacket, where'd you buy it?"... doesn't cut it. You must fill the lapse in time with precise conversation so your audience won't think something is up.
Also, I've had problems with people grabbing the watch out of my hand before I know what happened and inspecting it. Of course, I gently take it back saying, "You didn't ask permission, sorry." Another problem is people asking, "Hey, do it with my watch!" I get a lot of those. I respond, "One show only."

Strong effect. Report this review

Personally, I find that this watch looks pretty ordinary - which is good because you do not want it to look as if it is gimmicky. You want it to look like an every day watch you can find anywhere.

The effect is very strong. Over the years, I have purchased 3 of these watches. The mechanism is well made and sensitive, and can be wore as an everyday watch.

I love using this with M5 and psychokinetic time so that you actually plan out an entire watch routine where you can also stop their borrowed watches at the same time, reverse time, and even predict time.

This effect, when done well, really get great reactions from spectators.

i love the feel of this watch. it is a great effect if pulled off the correct way. sometimes you actually have to stall them for over a minute and after that long they definetely think something is up, but i still reccomend this watch over any other time machine watch for sure.

This watch is and now my best friend! i personally try not to use it much or until new the end of a set (to save my ass). The other night in a pub (after a few drinks) I was convinced to do some magic. The opener was classic coin work but then I messed up on two card tricks in a row. (I sobered up quickly and pulled off the watch. When i revealed the Time the spectator fell back off his seat while screaming. Thats what its all about!!!!!

if you use it as a psychokinesis trick where you use your mind to move the hands to where the person said the time you can stall to take the allowed minute for the watch to turn to the correct time and you can keep it out of your hands too.
